cichlidfan Posted September 16, 2011 Posted September 16, 2011 I am sure something is not right but since it is under the shipped and sold by Amazon umbrella (since it qualifies for Prime) I am fairly safe from any actual loss. Amazon once covered me for a hardback book that I received with bent corners because it was only wrapped in paper for shipping. I was told to keep the book and I still got my money back. The next day that vendor was no longer listed. I expect an email eventually appologizing for the fact that the product is no longer available from that vendor. cichlidfan Posted October 12, 2011 Posted October 12, 2011 No disrespect intended but, based on this statement, All of the US/Canada box assets are ready to go for duplication. We are now waiting for our distributor (Jack of All Games) to make the sell-in into various retail outlets. from this post. http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1287562&postcount=52 It seems like quite a long lead time from taking orders (Amazon took mine on 9-15 based on their suppliers information) to starting to reproduce the product. Not blaming DCS but it sure seems like somebody, your distributor perhaps, is trying to prove the market by taking orders, before commiting to providing the product. Specter1606688147 Posted October 12, 2011 Author Posted October 12, 2011 That sounds like a valid possibility. Seems the "industry" likes to produce Arcade sims designed for consoles and then they wonder why Simmers (us), don't buy them. This causes distributors to think that Simulations are a risky venture, when all we want are quality Sims like A-10c Warthog. A fine example would be the up-and-coming new JANES titles for the PC (and XBox360 and PS3), "Jane's Advanced Strike Fighters ", very disappointing.
