Ranger79 Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 Great video, quick question, when you switched to Mark Points and described slewing to target you said push TMS Long back, would this be the same as TMS Switch down (holding the TMS button downwards). Thanks for any information in advance. MTFDarkEagle Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 Ranger79: Yes. Up=forward Down=backwards Not sure on the "official" way on what it is, but it's the same. Lukas - "TIN TIN" - 9th Shrek Air Strike Squadron TIN TIN's Cockpit thread
Evil.Bonsai Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 Great vid. I still have trouble with designating a spi before trying to slave a maverick to it. One thing you mentioned about why the offset from your targets: when using the tgp to make mark points, activate the laser then make the mark point. That should put the mark on the target and not on the terrain behind the target. The higher the angle the less it matters but when looking further out at lower altitudes you can get larger errors. Not much of an issue with the maverick as you stated but will be if using jdams.

Fuzzysham Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 Great video. I've always had problems working with markpoints and this clarified things for me. All your videos have been very, very helpful. I constantly refer to them.
Medic88 Posted October 4, 2011 Posted October 4, 2011 Great vids, all of them but when you say china hat right long to slave mav, do you infact mean china hat forward long. Av had a look and cant find china hat right, but do know that forward long will slave
kylania Posted October 4, 2011 Posted October 4, 2011 That's correct Medic. The "China Hat" is a 3 way switch witch defaults to the middle and can be pulled back or pushed forward.
