Unfortunately, you can not rewind a track nor can you jump to a specific time. I believe that Nate was merely asking for a time so that he knows when/where to look for something. I often let a track run and walk away just keeping an eye on the time so that I know when to come back.

This is, at least in part, due to the fact that the track is not a recording like a video. It is actually a timed record of the actions and events (control movements, weapon launch, etc.) as they occurred. When you play a track, the actions/events are processed and their predicted outcome is displayed.

But is it possible to view a track and then take over control of the plane?

Yes - you can take control of the track at anytime prior to the termination thereof.

You would not mind to tell me how can I take control?:music_whistling:

Hit the 'ESC' key. There will be a tab named 'Control' - click and you're good to go.

You can fast-forward a track by accelerating time in the simulation. If I remember correctly, pressing Ctrl+Y should accelerate time and Shift+Y should switch back to real-time.

Actually it is Z not Y. LCtrl+Z speed up, LAlt+Z slow down, LShift+Z normal time.

However, there can be issues with replay inaccuracies when "fast-forwarding". Short simple tracks are no problem for the most part but the longer and more complicated the track is, the more likely errors will occur if "fast-forward" is used.

I believe that Y and Z are swapped on German keyboards :smartass:
