When I uninstall my DCS 1.1.0.8 and after that reinstall the 1.1.1.0 do I have to reactivate my game? Will a license activation be gone by this?

Thx for the answer and keep up the good work

Well, I'm not an authoritative source on the subject, I can say that I didn't have to when I uninstalled then reinstalled just now. I was expecting to reactivate. When I uninstalled I deleted my save game folder and the left over Eagle Dynamics folder. I also ran CCleaner so there shouldn't have been any trace left.

Game installed fast and never asked for a cd key. Every other time it has. Something seems different.

No, reinstalling the game never costs activations.

Though worth noting, of what I think how it works, is that when uninstalling the game, the protection-system is not uninstalled, hence activation files on your computer will be remaining on your system-harddisk. So if you uninstall your system-os, these files will be removed, and you will loose an activation.

Yes, that's unavoidable; it also happens if you delete the registry key that contains the activation key, or if you use a registry cleaner and the program deletes the key.

However if you simply uninstall the game, delete the remaining files/folders, delete the config directory and then reinstall the game then you will not have to reactivate the game.

It is refilled for you at the rate of 1 activation/month automatically, IIRC. It doesn't go back up to 8-10 I believe, but if you go to 0, then next month you will have '1' that you can use. So you can always activate once every month.

Not sure if de-activations refill.

Mine do not, so far.

I made the mistake to de-activate it before I uninstalled when I was new to DCS and had some technical problems.

In the future, I might hit the limit because I had to re-install my OS several times and always de-activated first (got an SSD, then had the Sandforce bug, went back, etc) and am now planning an OS-reinstall because of VAC (I just orderd the english windows version for it...). Now I am at six remaining (I think...).

Because I did not know how to use activations, in case I run into the limit, I will invest into a new licence, as it is in effect my fault (and ED can use that money for DCS: AH-1Z Viper:D)

At the moment, I am still fine, however.
