I therefore unable to get any further with this and request a full refund for this package, unless some one can come up with a better plan of action. Lucky Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 I've had the same issue when trying to download files. I just click on OK and it usually brings up the file to download. Sometimes I've had to do it 2 or 3 times but I've aways been able to bring up the file. Installed and picked up the torrent download but got a download speed of 2.3k/Bs and will take at this rate 1 week and 5 days, hold on I gave wrong info there it's stating it's going to take 3 weeks approx. This is what I have so far. Is the site only allowing one file download at a time? 1. bs2_upgrade_setup_en.exe - Downloaded 2. bs2_upgrade_setup_en-1.bin - Downloading 3. bs2_upgrade_setup_en-3.bin - Downloaded Is this correct in what I am doing? Once all have been downloaded, you might want to check the MD5 values of the respective files to ensure your downloads are not corrupted. Novice or Veteran looking for an alternative MP career? And again its' letting me in on the last one bs2_upgrade_setup_en-2.bin file which is approx 50% through. OK What do you mean by checking the MD5 values ? and how do you do that? I see those numbers above each section. I have also noticed that once the file has been downloaded it transfers it's self into a special type of file which I suppose is ready for installing ? I am doing a completely new installation of my original BS, do I need to install patch 1.0.1. which I have and do I need to download the new patch 2? Timm OK - leave the MD5 program for now. Can use it if install does not go through. Back to Black Shark: You downloaded the upgrade to BS2. What you need to do now is to install BS1. Do not need to patch at all - just install it anywhere. Once installed, run BS1 and run a quick mission to ensure it has been activated. Quit the mission a couple of seconds in and close BS1. Then Open the folder that contains the 4 upgrade files, run the .exe file and install BS2. Keep in mind that BS2 is completely different/separate from BS1 so do not attempt to install in same folder/location. Follow the prompts and install as per normal. Nate--IRL-- Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 Basically that means one of the files you have downloaded is corrupted. The Torrent is much more reliable in my experience, but does take a few minutes to get up to speed, that is if your internet provider doesn't deliberately throttle torrents. Still I will have another look. I downloaded this MD5 program to check the some numbers is it worth giving that a try. I don't fancy spending all night waiting for a download. That's why I have requested a full refund on this as I have never come across problems like this before on any other programs. 159th_Viper Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 Your .exe file is incorrectly named. If anything is incorrectly named, even a decimal point out of place, then it will not install. Your .exe file is supposed to be named bs2_upgrade_setup_en.exe as it appears on the download page. It would appear that your PC ate the majority of it. Rename/redownload and try again.
