Dropship Pilot Posted January 30, 2012 Posted January 30, 2012 I'd gladly take one if there wouldn't be the hassle with the export paperwork......
Zenga Posted January 30, 2012 Posted January 30, 2012 The correct HSI has been listed as the AQU-6A.What is your budget? I can see what i can do. I have not see one in awhile and the normal price is in the $300.00 range i think That sound more like something I can afford. Well, take your time, I decided to begin with the side consoles first. However, I will continue to purchase instruments/panels for the MIP when available. And a Hog-style HSI is one of the more sophisticated instruments I'd say. So yes, would appreciate if you could inform me about the availability... Thx

Dropship Pilot Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 I might be wrong, but the TACAN looks smaller than the version used in the A-10. Cheers, Stefan

Dropship Pilot Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 (edited) Isn't that 2.25" (57mm) panel like the one pictured here... http://www.rockwellcollins.com/sitecore/content/Data/Products/Navigation_and_Guidance/Direction-Finding_Equipment/TCN-550_TACAN_Beacon_System.aspx ... while the A-10 uses the 3" (76mm) panel: http://www.rockwellcollins.com/sitecore/content/Data/Products/Navigation_and_Guidance/Direction-Finding_Equipment/TCN-500_Advanced_Digital_TACAN_Receiver-Transmitter.aspx Notice the difference in space between the knobs and the lower edge of the panel. Cheers, Stefan Edited February 17, 2012 by Dropship Pilot

Tomb Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 I don't understand that if get the real hardware, how to connect the game?
Deadman Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 If it is a control head rewire the switches to what ever IO card your using that is connected to your computer. If it is a gauge or instrument you will need the correct power source for the instrument. or to convert it using a 5v steeper, air core, or dc motor witch ever is appropriate for the instrument. Then connect the the control system to the correct type of board. IE a DC motor system may have 5v dc power suply then an IO card designed for DC motors connect to the computer and associated with a specific instrument Please some one correct me if this is not a short version of how things get hooked up https://forum.dcs.world/topic/133818-deadmans-cockpit-base-plans/#comment-133824 CNCs and Laser engravers are great but they can't do squat with out a precise set of plans.
