diveplane Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 come on , no low visibility camo on it either? somthing fishy to this? https://www.youtube.com/user/diveplane11 DCS Audio Modding.
GGTharos Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 It's low observable, not stealth like a stealth fighter. It doesn't need camo - why should it? It's not trying to tangle with fighters or anything else, it's just a recon drone. You're not going to see it when it's 30-40-50000 feet up anyway. mr.president Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 (edited) Steath About the stealth detection: I read somewhere that the MEADS Systems Surveillance Radar is using unusual very low frequency UHF-band under 1 GH which is said to detect steath aircraft cause they are optimized for D,E,F and X-Band. Also NATO officials stated that the cause of the shot down f-117 in the kosovo war was such a low frequency radar and the S-125 Newa. What do you think about this possibility? Someone invets something that is state of the art but 20 years later its an old hat and not that much of a wonder weapon anymore. Currently this is happening to radar stealth. In another 20 years stealth will be so common even to smaller countries "home builds" the way microelectronics is today. Edited December 9, 2011 by Beagle One

GGTharos Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 No, they didn't. The cause was knowing where the aircraft was going to be, and sticking a SAM in its way. The problem was using the same flight path many times. Also NATO officials stated that the cause of the shot down f-117 in the kosovo war was such a low frequency radar and the S-125 Newa. jazjar Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 I can not believe this BS at all. I may not have been there my self, but I can tell you, READ THIS TEXT SLOWLY... that I know an Navy EA-6B pilot personally. I know him through my mother, and I can tell you, he spoke about his 1999 experiences the same way he talked about 1991. If anything, he told me that losses were less than in 1991. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
GGTharos Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 I can help you :D USAF aircraft are counted, not just by USAF but also by fans who live near the airbases. Although they cannot know everything, a lot of losses would become known ... especially from spouses of lost pilots etc. We done now? :) You can think like that... i can`t help you :music_whistling: Topic on that link is started with this: "READ THIS TEXT SLOWLY and you see more..." .Are you see that? :) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Reminder: SAM = Speed Bump :D I used to play flight sims like you, but then I took a slammer to the knee - Yoda
jazjar Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 Listen, you want evidence, I got it. First, you claim that the F-117 was shot down by a VHF radar detecting it. Well, the mere fact that you are boasting about one aircraft shot down is besides the point. NATO's strategic objectives were met, period. Also, if the SAM Simulator by Hpasp, from Hungary, disproves this point, because in the sim, in the "1999" scenario of the SA-3 vs the F-117, simulating the firing battery that shot the nighthawk down, the VHF is able to detect the F-117, at about 5 KM from the site, and the aircraft itself passed by at the closest point from my site at ~.5 KM. Second, you claim that the map on you bogus "Iran Defence" forum is actually true. More about the EA-6B pilot. I interviewed him for a "Field study" for one of my summer projects. My project was about the "Psychological effect of war on humans." When i interviewed him, I first started by asking him about 1991, he jumped to 1995 and 1999 without hesitation. I didn't even need to ask him. He described 1999 as an event that he didn't participate in, but heard a lot about this from his air force friends. He told me that they lost two aircraft to enemy fire, no more, no less. I didn't notice anything subtle or something in his eyes for 1999, and I knew that he was telling the truth. The interview didn't sound like a prepared propaganda advertisement either. There was nothing robotic or rehearsed about the way he sounded, so there's no conspiracy. And by the way, if you still believe in that "IranDefence" forum, let me tell you some recent news that most people have heard. Serbia is now a democratic country, along with all the other former FRY republics, and the FRY itself is dead, along with Slobodan Milosevic. I'm sorry, but who won, again? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
jazjar Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 Wow, you see this GG, they shot down not only a F-117, but a B-2 as well. Seems that Iran Defence forum has got some super interesting stuff cooking. Can I get that part of the wing from the B-2 for Christmas, pretty please! [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
SimFreak Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 Iran's showing off the drone apparently. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-16098562 I've never seen aircraft that is not painted... something is fishy here.... 1
4c Hajduk Veljko Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 I sure do not trust Iranian military a word they say. I also do not believe in our military explanation either. primus_TR Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 I agree with an earlier poster that this drone may have been sacrificed to reveal Iranian capabilities before the upcoming war.
