Polar-eX Posted December 7, 2011 Posted December 7, 2011 I have a problem with landing. As soon as i touch down and want to slow down i use the airbrakes and the wheel brakes (to a minimum). But while slowing down the plane tends to yaw hard to the left. I must give all rudder input to stay on the centreline until i reach 50 knots. At that point i turn on nws and must relieve the rudder at once otherwise im going off the rw. Its not the wind, i have checked and calibrated my controls. Takeoff and in the air is no problem. bluepilot76 Posted December 7, 2011 Posted December 7, 2011 Really sounds like one of your brake pedals is not working for some reason. Check axis assignments? Try using key "w" instead. Does it slow down straight then? Technical Specs: Asus G73JW gaming laptop... i7-740QM 1.73GHz ... GTX460m 1.5GB ... 8GB DDR5 RAM ... Win7 64 ... TIR5 ... Thrustmaster T16000m
effte Posted December 7, 2011 Posted December 7, 2011 And you've checked your controls, specifically your brake axes, in-game using Ctrl+Enter? Cheers, /Fred ----- Introduction to UTM/MGRS - Trying to get your head around what trim is, how it works and how to use it? - DCS helos vs the real world.
wolfstriked Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 As indicated above^^did you calibrate in windows?Could be your rudder pedals are not moving in game their full amount.I was amazed at how sluggish the A10 seemed until I checked in options and saw I was only getting half deflection in both axis. Polar-eX Posted December 10, 2011 Author Posted December 10, 2011 I dont know it anymore. I use my Saitek rudders. Yesterday i de-assembled the rudder to spray the pots with contact spray (as i do with every Saitek Proflight unit). I Calibrate within windows. Within A-10C i test them and in the axis tune i invert them with a 30% slope. During the taxi to the runway they behave normal and i have no problem. But as soon as i tough down and want to keep the centreline things go wrong. As soon as the plane decides to sideslip (yaw) to a side i have to put full rudders to keep the jet on the tarmac. The slower i go more worse it get. joey45 Posted December 10, 2011 Posted December 10, 2011 Do you check each brake while taxing? Start from the air and land.. see if the same thing happends??? just a thought.. The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance. MeerCaT Posted December 13, 2011 Posted December 13, 2011 Don't forget about the [Right-CTRL]+[Return] (default keys) command to bring up the control inputs graphic in the bottom left corner. This is a useful tool to see exactly what inputs are being produced by your controllers. Use it to check the evenness of your brake inputs during landing. Maybe useful.
kra961 Posted December 13, 2011 Posted December 13, 2011 Have you tried adding a bit of right brake to stop the yaw to the left? _________________________________________ Win7 x64, I7-950 HD 5800 ThrustMaster Hotas WartHog, IRTracker 5, ThrustMaster Saitek Pro Flight Rudder, MFD Couger V2
