ZQuickSilverZ Posted December 11, 2011 Posted December 11, 2011 (edited) I have been playing Lock On Flaming Cliffs 2.0 for some time but have some questions I can't seem to figure out for myself. I would like the answers if you have them. A-10A 1. What are the "PRS\SGL Release Submode Cycles" (Left Shift + Spacebar)? 2. What exactly does the "Ship Take Off Position" do (U)? Su25T 1.What purpose does adjusting the "Altimeter Pressure" serve (Increase Right Shift + =)(Decrease Right Shift + -)? Does this Sim even model Barometrics to that detail? 2.What is "Cut Of Burst Select" (Left Shift + C)? I have not found 1 person that can answer this. I think it has something do do with the guns. Both What exactly does "RWR/SPO Mode Select" do (Right Shift + R)? Edited December 11, 2011 by ZQuickSilverZ I need, I need, I need... What about my wants? QuickSilver original. Cali Posted December 11, 2011 Posted December 11, 2011 A-10 For the A-10 the "PRS\SGL Release Submode Cycles" is releasing bombs in pairs or one at a time a.k.a single The Ship take off position is for the Su-33. If you are on the carrier and press the "U" button it will move you in the position to take off. 25T I don't know if the "Altimeter Pressure" works on the 25T, as I don't fly it a lot and when I do I'm not worried about that or the "Cut Of Burst Select" A 25T driver will have to answer that. Frankly, I forgot what the "RWR/SPO Mode Select" does, I haven't flown FC2 in over 2 1/2 months. i7-4820k @ 3.7, Windows 7 64-bit, 16GB 1866mhz EVGA GTX 970 2GB, 256GB SSD, 500GB WD, TM Warthog, TM Cougar MFD's, Saitek Combat Pedals, TrackIR 5, G15 keyboard, 55" 4K LED
Kuky Posted December 11, 2011 Posted December 11, 2011 RWR/SPO Mode I think was if you want the RWR to sound all radar signals it detects or just if someone is locked on your aircraft PC specs: Windows 11 Home | Asus TUF Gaming B850-Plus WiFi | AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D + LC 360 AIO | MSI RTX 5090 LC 360 AIO | 55" Samsung Odyssey Gen 2 | 64GB PC5-48000 DDR5 | 1TB M2 SSD for OS | 2TB M2 SSD for DCS | NZXT C1000 Gold ATX 3.1 1000W | TM Cougar Throttle, Floor Mounted MongoosT-50 Grip on TM Cougar board, MFG Crosswind, Track IR
ZQuickSilverZ Posted December 12, 2011 Author Posted December 12, 2011 Anybody want to tackle the "Cut Of Burst Select". I have yet to find 1 person that can answer what exactly that does. You guys up to the challange? Thank you Cali and Kuky I am two steps closer to understanding all the functions. Just a few questions left. I need, I need, I need... What about my wants? Nate--IRL-- Posted December 12, 2011 Posted December 12, 2011 I would guess it selects the burst cut off. :P The cannon will automatically limit the burst length - this would toggle that I think, so holding the trigger will give continuous fire. ZQuickSilverZ Posted December 12, 2011 Author Posted December 12, 2011 (edited) Thank you commbatace. That is exactly what I was looking for. Also Kuky your correct about the RWR/SPO I tested that today. Cali can you elaborate more on the "PRS\SGL Release Submode Cycles". I did see where it had the single / multi option. But it has 4 total options. 2 single and 2 multi. What is the difference between the two? Anybody want to take a crack at the "Altimeter Pressure" question? Does anybody know if this is modeled for FC 2.0? Can you even get the QFE of the field in FC 2.0 (I know you can in DCS: BS)? Obviously the main reason this would be important is for landing without the use of a radar altimeter (due to damage or component failure) in low visibility. But if its not modeled whats the point of setting it? Anybody got any answers? Do any of the "fast movers" have this function (the A-10A does not)? Does this Sim even model Barometrics to that detail? when you start on the ramp your Atlimeter will show the incorect altertude. bit like in DCS. or if you land at a different airfield you need to set the QFE code to the correct one. The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance. In the a-10, you can drop bombs one at a time or in pairs. You select which one you want to use and on the other switch you select how many you want to drop and the time between them if you want. Say you want to drop cluster bombs on a convoy that is 10 vehicles long. You can set to drop in pairs at .25 seconds. I haven't flown the A-10A in a very long time and don't have a screenshot to show you, maybe later tonight when I get home and wake up I can post one for you. ZQuickSilverZ Posted December 14, 2011 Author Posted December 14, 2011 (edited) Well.... I did watch the panel. I did see the knob turn. However, since it uses an acronym it was a bit tricky to figure it out. But after you explained it I understood it. Or at least I think I did. Let me ask just to verify. PRS = Pairs Drops a pair of bombs 1 time SGL = Single Drops 1 single bomb 1 time RIP PRS = Ripple Pairs Drops several pairs of bombs using a programmed ripple interval Rip SGL = Ripple Single Drops several single bombs using a programmed ripple interval Is that correct?
