tiredandirtysoldier Posted January 2, 2012 Posted January 2, 2012 I am new to the game and love it, but I am no longer content to just fly around in game mode I want to go all out but I have no idea where to start. I have 3 monitors but can't seem to use more than one, are there other programs that help the game get all the power it needs? I have 2 video cards but they are not crossfire I just ordered my tm hotas controls and downloaded dime bags cockpit plans but don't know where to get them printed. Basically I am in need of someone to take under their wing load me on a rail and show me how to do things sorry if I posted this in the wrong spot I have also spent the last few days reading this forum and I printed the flight manual ( all of it) and have been reading it but I'm not absorbing it too well any help no matter how small would be great :helpsmilie: DEVIL ASSASSIN (if you ran over my hide in an Abrams in 2003 I'm still waiting for my beer)
Zenra Posted January 2, 2012 Posted January 2, 2012 Hello and welcome to the forums! This is a great place with many friendly and helpful people, which is good because you will probably be kissing the rest of your life (wife, girlfriend, kids, horse, whatever) goodbye now that you've discovered DCS... The best place for help with multiple monitors is this thread: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=60815 As for somebody to take you under your wing, say hello to some of the virtual squadrons - they are always looking for recruits and flying online with other skilled pilots is a good way to learn this amazing sim. july865 Posted January 2, 2012 Posted January 2, 2012 also head over to the cock-pit builders page.. you'll be shocked what you see there. as for printing, kinkos, they can do large scale sizes. and if you need architectural size, you'll pay dearly. and that is done through professional printers. . as for getting up in the air with people to train with, then pm me. Supersheep Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 I do not know whether Dimebug's plans are designed to be printed, but if it is practical, the Adobe PDF Reader can print big things in multiple small "tiles". In the print Options, you need to select "Split big pages" (or so, I use a german verision: "Große Seiten teilen"...). This way you only have to figure out things like overlap and order instead of finding an A1 or A0 printer. HTH, Super- The PVC Pipe Joystick Stand How to thread
FreeFall Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 I have 3 monitors but can't seem to use more than one, are there other programs that help the game get all the power it needs? I have 2 video cards but they are not crossfire I have 3 monitors (one of them is a touch screen) and I use Helios software. No crossfire/eyefinity or whatever. Just "extended desktop". You can get all the essential info from the threads already linked here by the previous posters. My setup:
