@Fox: I have a suggestion: instead (or beside) of typing in the coordinates, do you think it is possible to read in a file with format: <description><Lat.><Long> and display that in your Bullseye Origin list?

So you don't have to "hard code" for example the "Mt. Cougar" and the community can write a list of airbases, mountains and so on which will be selectable in the system.

Sorry for this late reply but im at work at the moment, I'll try however to answer....

1st. The Matrix orbital USB display's are supported and working as Cougar said

the Crystal fontz LCD devices I am trying to support but as I do not own one

You can imagine how hard it is to try to incorporate it.... So I will say this If you want it to work 100% use a Matrix orbital USB device

2nd. For you'r hardcoding lists etc....

I have already written the update wich does this and this is how it works:

When you start the app for the first time you will download the current 169th maps from the 169th server (5 small maps) this will altso create a text

file i the app's folder with the map name and the bullseye coords for the prog to access when needed.....

In addition to this there will be a MAPmanagement dialog where you

or anyone else can add you'r own maps with the coordinates you want..

This requires you to first copy you'r map into the app folder and then

add the map using the management dialogue setting the bullseye coords

at the same time......

So as GGTharos said this could if you want it to change the use into an nav application, given you make a few maps/coordinates and add those into the list using the management dialogue, you could then just switch map for a new

bullseye etc....

I am not finished writing this app yet so more will propably be added, but for now I have to focus on getting the map screen updates optimized so it does not slow down a single PC system....

New version will be announced here when it's availiable wich I hope will be in a week or two when I get back from work....

Until then, I'm sadly locked to ansering questions and giving explanations

in here.. :)

Hedgehog You must be playing on a server that has the accompanying Export.lua installed, or it will not work.. all that file does is to allow every client to export his/her lat & long + alt for use with this system !

Hope this sheds some light on your questions, if not ask again :)

Works awsome on our dedicated HL server.

Really helps with voice comms, which we have a public TS server for everyone to use also =)

So anyone that wishes to try the app come on over to our server and TS and you can see how effective it is.

169th Bullseye Software! Made By: 169th_Fox

Get the bullseye system latest version:HERE !

This is what you need to make it work for YOU

1. necessary equipment :

2 monitors OR 2 PC's OR run lockon in a window OR as me get a miniature LCD Screen

2. Download the archive file from the FTP

unpack wherever you wish....

Go to lockon dir in Config/Export and back up you'r Export.lua file

drop the export.lua file from the archive into config/export folder

3. IF you are using a 2nd PC edit the export.lua file and enter the IP adress

of your 2nd PC where it say's "localhost" run the app. on the 2nd PC.

it will pick up and start showing Bullseye info once you enter the cockpit..

4. If you use one single PC with or without LCD or a 2nd monitor

just start the app. and leave it running

For a LCD config. you must select correct num of lines & columns in LCD

plus the correct com port & Baud rate, before it will allow you to check

the send to LCD option. Mind you there is NO check for an LCD present

so it will send to whatever com port is selected wheter it's got a LCD connected

or not.

Please note: for this software to work. The server needs to disable line [10] in the config.lua files. Thus allowing export data to be utilised.

Correction ! disabling server exports is NOT required...

with the script that is in the Bullseye package placed in the server, the

server will now ONLY allow export of you'r own aircraft lat & long !

so servers can now go back to forcing the accompanying export.lua

on the client. and be "cheat safe" once again !

Raising this thread from the dead. Although I haven't tested this yet, I hear client LUA is now allowed. From reading the config.lua I didn't see anything that allowed the export of your aircrafts current coordinates.

I saw this only:

waypoint_table =

{

this_point_num, -- number of point ( >= 0)

world_point = {x,y,z}, -- world position in meters

The x,y,z world position is relative only to the lockon map correct? Has anybody tried relating that to a real world coordinate? Also, the x,y,z above from what I can see represents only planned waypoints, not aircrafts position.

Is it possible to export my own radar contatcs data only? (online play)

Position of target related to self (angles), if its jamming etc... I finished UNI and I have now some time to jerk arround.

What do I need to do to make export and scripts work?(ED's explanation on their site is a bit overwhelming for me)

I know that LoGetWorldObjects() is totally disabled (usually) and enforced by the server, but is LoGetObjectById() totally disabled locally, even if you only want to obtain your own aircraft's information?
