linden Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 Would like to check if there is an interest of making a P-51 Cockpit? I have made a quick 3d model of the front panel, and will continue if there is interest.
HitchHikingFlatlander Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 Would be cool! For someone else that is, I rarely find time to fly yet alone work on my hog pit. That's life when you have a kid, job and home to look after, but I wish I could build stuff like this all the time. http://dcs-mercenaries.com/ USA Squad

deaconjb Posted February 9, 2012 Posted February 9, 2012 I'm currently working on a F18 super hornet pit. Just curious, what are you using to make the 3D model? Thx [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Deadman Posted February 9, 2012 Posted February 9, 2012 Well the P-51 D will be much easier to build with Blue prints available http://www.ebay.com/itm/P-51-Mustang-blueprints-plans-aircraft-manuals-USAF-North-American-Aviation-WW2-/290666048929?pt=Motors_Manuals_Literature&vxp=mtr&hash=item43ad0beda1 https://forum.dcs.world/topic/133818-deadmans-cockpit-base-plans/#comment-133824 CNCs and Laser engravers are great but they can't do squat with out a precise set of plans.
Deadman Posted February 9, 2012 Posted February 9, 2012 Here are a bunch of free Line drawings http://www.airwar.ru/other/draw_fw.html https://forum.dcs.world/topic/133818-deadmans-cockpit-base-plans/#comment-133824 CNCs and Laser engravers are great but they can't do squat with out a precise set of plans.
