mapleflagmissions.ca announces updated BFT03 - Fly Traffic Pattern Pay to Play Mission

http://files.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/54269/

Based on some user feedback I made the following changes:

V1.2 Release Notes

1. Updated Batumi Map Diagram

2. Removed "Terminate" conditions so mission can continue if failed early.

3. Increased turn trigger detection zones.

This mission is part of a “pay to play” campaign.

You will need to install a license and purchase a mission key to install these missions. The mission key entitles you to free mission updates for the life of the mission.

The campaign can be purchased for $4.99 USD at http://mapleflagmissions.ca

Select the “Request a License or Mission Key” link for details.

For those customers that have already purchased a mission key no new key is required. Do NOT purchase another key for the update.

@Sabre-TLA: I kept flying this pattern for aprox. 30 min. now without being commanded to land. What did I do wrong aside from slightly violating patter alt. sometimes and beeing warned about?

Sounds like you missed some pattern waypoints as there are triggers at each wp to advise you to turn to a new heading, maintain or reduce speed, etc.

Compare your flight to the one in Recon Stewart's video

.

That might help you understand where you went wrong.

Hello, Enjoying the challenge!

I keep getting terminated for altitude on my first final approach. I seem to be mimicking Recon Stewarts Vid, am and locked in at 2500ft, with my speed and heading also within parameters. Any Idea what I am Missing?

Altitude sounds right but check your QNH and make sure you have it set to the runway setting given by ATC when you takeoff (I believe it's 2989).

Here is a good post explaining it.

You have to stay in the pattern until instructed by the FE.

Make sure you hit all the waypoints as per the diagram and FE instructions.

I think it was the QNH setting, for whatever reason my Mission (Practice) started on the climb-out after takeoff and the setting was a few click off. I adjusted and took my time, got though it just fine. Great post about the difference in the Altimeter settings. Thanks again!
