kharne Posted April 16, 2012 Posted April 16, 2012 Can you explain what is updated about the Batumi map? Just curious. Thanks for the missions!
Sabre-TLA Posted April 17, 2012 Author Posted April 17, 2012 I should have been clearer. The Batumi Map diagram was updated in the mission update. xmoex Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 @Sabre-TLA: I kept flying this pattern for aprox. 30 min. now without being commanded to land. What did I do wrong aside from slightly violating patter alt. sometimes and beeing warned about?
Sabre-TLA Posted June 2, 2015 Author Posted June 2, 2015 Sounds like you missed some pattern waypoints as there are triggers at each wp to advise you to turn to a new heading, maintain or reduce speed, etc. Compare your flight to the one in Recon Stewart's video . That might help you understand where you went wrong. MapleFlagMissions - Read Our Blog for Updates
David A Sell Posted January 19, 2017 Posted January 19, 2017 Hello, Enjoying the challenge! I keep getting terminated for altitude on my first final approach. I seem to be mimicking Recon Stewarts Vid, am and locked in at 2500ft, with my speed and heading also within parameters. Any Idea what I am Missing? Sabre-TLA Posted January 19, 2017 Author Posted January 19, 2017 Altitude sounds right but check your QNH and make sure you have it set to the runway setting given by ATC when you takeoff (I believe it's 2989). Here is a good post explaining it. You have to stay in the pattern until instructed by the FE. Make sure you hit all the waypoints as per the diagram and FE instructions. David A Sell Posted January 20, 2017 Posted January 20, 2017 I think it was the QNH setting, for whatever reason my Mission (Practice) started on the climb-out after takeoff and the setting was a few click off. I adjusted and took my time, got though it just fine. Great post about the difference in the Altimeter settings. Thanks again!
