I have been looking for an x52 pro model. I see a lot of used ones around on websites. In your experience would a used one be ok and stable? Or would be wise to shell out for a new model. I mean by used I mean people have only used them a few times and had them for 1 year or 2.

Its a gamble with second hand stuff :)

my saitek x45 was purchased second hand ( nice and cheap for my first hotas ) its just started to give me problems ( loose connection on trigger ) but it has served me well for over 6 months of constant use!

I hope it last's long enough for me to get a thrustmaster warthog, saving hard for it lol !

Its just a weird decision because I don't sim much, the warthog game is the only one that has me interested to buy one. Because I have tried it with a logitech and keyboard and it was a pain in the a**. Weird how those controls are still so expensive..been out for years.

I purchase one on eBay for $56.00 and it came with Microsofts "A Century of Flight". worked perfectly. I check to make sure the seller is "Top Rated" and the description has no "Iffy" content, like: "I can't check this item" (as if they couldn't have plugged it into the PC they used to post it on eBay. And a return policy.

By the way look on this site for the suggestions on the X52 and the X52 Pro. can save money getting the X52 the pro has no real benifits. IMHO

I hear the Pro is more durable than the standard. It seems there are more profiles out for A10c with the Pro than the regular. Also, it just looks sturdier and cooler I suppose. I don't see why the Pro model is so expensive even used. Looks like on ebay they are starting to go for 90-100 now used. Its a hassle to wait until one is priced the way you like, and then wait some more to see if you have won or not.

I will just have to try and win one tomorrow. Its currently bid at $75, pro model with $15 for shipping.
