Flashing Running Lights

Hello All

How do you activate the flashing wing tip strobe lights?

I use Alt P to activate the running lights but haven't figured out the strobes yet.

Switch on left lighting panel. There is a Position Flash switch and an Anti Coll switch from memory. Just have a play with all the lighting switches on that panel to familiarize yourself. That's the best way to learn IMO

I learned a long time ago when I have a specific question it's often faster to ask someone who knows. Saves me precious time.

I've been doing a lot of reading and tutorials, just didn't remember that one.

The biggest thing I haven't gotten the handle on is targeting.

For the strobe to work the pinky switch needs to be in aft position. Lights according to panels.

whenever you switch from aft to center or fwd, the strobe switch will revert to off position.

Actually it's LCtrl+P, which enables the outside lights (landing, strobe flash-steady, and anticollision lights). LAlt+P disables all external lights (check throttle pinky switch as you do it (visible/back means on, fwd/invisible means off).

 

Open the flight manual P.162/672, you need to flick the switch number 1 per the picture to the up (flash) or down (steady) position, and not the middle position (off).
