Hello all

What is the quickest way to lock and shoot a target.

I'm slowly getting the hang of it but it seems like it could go quicker before passing over the target.

Thanks

Locate target with TGP, set as SPI (TMS Fwd Long). Select Mav as SOI and slave Mav to SPI (China Hat Fwd Long). Toggle Mav to a tracked state (TMS Fwd Short - repeat until track obtained) and launch.

Thanks

I have done the mav training. Just trying to get tips on shortening the time. Guess it's just lots of practice.

Practice, practice, practice. I managed to fire all my 4 mavs in one single pass the other day, it really feels awesome when you get the hang of it

Yeah, with practice and markpoints you can ripple 6 in a pass quite easily - good for those 'Slap 'em Good and Run' missions :D

I was in medium-close range so I slew it manually between targets, took me less than three seconds to launch all 4. Looked awesome in the track, hit like a hammer.

You wouldn't know of a good markpoint tutorial, would you? I think I've got the basics but it kinda feels like I'm missing out on something big.

Great video.

Looks like I have many hours before getting to that point but it's something to shoot for.

^ This and if higher than 10000 feet, you can practically launch beyond lock range (at 12 nm) using force correlate (LAlt + Down and TMS For'ard Short). This altitude is sufficient in most cases for a hard launch then a freefall guide... Of course it's not the doctrinal method to do it, but an extra ace up thee sleeve is not bad..

Be careful with selection of missiles with the campaign. The last mission was a night (2 AM) mission, and I had 2 Dogs and 2 Hotels loaded. Imagine locking up a target in the dark with the H.. So I used force correlate and one struck bullseye, the other struck the ground... :P. Point is, don't use H at night!!! :joystick:
