Mojeaux Posted May 25, 2012 Posted May 25, 2012 I’ve been checking out the P-51 for a week or so now. Lotsa fun ya know! I have noticed that when doing an external view on bomb impact’s I was getting no explosion graphics. I just wrote this off as a Beta issue and was going to just be silent about it! However; tonight 3 of us hooked up online together to test a new mission I’m working on. While in comms I asked my squad buddy Hollywood if he was able to see bomb graphics when the bomb hit the earth. He said yes he gets the explosions! However I still only get a tiny puff of brown dusty smoke when mine are hitting the ground. Yes I have setting to High and visa versa while testing this issue! Has anyone else had this experience? Any Ideas out here? 16th Mojeaux out [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
element1108 Posted May 25, 2012 Posted May 25, 2012 Shot in the dark, but are the bombs armed? If they're not armed they won't detonate. ?? I hope this doesn't come across an IT checklist "is the computer plugged in?". Apart from that, I'm clueless mate.

Ramstein Posted July 11, 2012 Posted July 11, 2012 (edited) my bombs still are not going off, just puffs of dust where they drop... I just spent at least a full hour dropping bombs and trying every possible switch selection... I put it on unlimited ammo so I would not have to re-arm each time I dropped.. I am baffled what is wrong.. also, the spinner on the back of the bombs does not spin... not sure if that is known or again just on mine.. my rockets and guns work just fine... = update: If I just move the toggles switiches for bomb release using the cockpit switches, the bombs don't explode, but if I use the keyboard to toggle the switches,, and even put them back where they were the bombs will explode.. I am confused... at least I can get them to explode now.. I still think something is buggy, I don't see how the install is buggy, but maybe something went wrong on install.... at least they work if I do a dance now.. Ramstein Posted July 12, 2012 Posted July 12, 2012 It appears I just need to toggle the arming switches one time, each side, for the bombs to activate and arm before dropping them... I do this by hitting my #6, and #7 keys 2x each to cycle them before dropping the bombs on each side. :joystick: ASUS Strix Z790-H, i9-13900, WartHog HOTAS and MFG Crosswind G.Skill 64 GB Ram, 2TB SSD EVGA Nvidia RTX 2080-TI (trying to hang on for a bit longer) 55" Sony OLED TV, Oculus VR

IvanK Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 (edited) There is a bit of a graphic perspective issue. The switches work just fine. The ARM position is as far as they can go in the DOWN position. I think the dEfault Airborne Spawn position is UP. Therefore you need "2 Clicks DOWN" to get them in the Fully Down ARMED position. I have found using the Mouse to ARM is slightly problematical and that at random times I cant actually get them in the DOWN or ARM position. Using Keyboard it works every time. It would be nice to know exactly what fuses are simulated in this and what default Fuse Arming Delay the coders have used and if its variable. Knowing this you can then calculate the Min Release Altitude values to allow Fuse Arming. Edited July 14, 2012 by IvanK
jib Posted September 9, 2012 Posted September 9, 2012 IF you are arming them with a mouse you should use right mouse click, I think.
