Importing joystick configs

I have built a cockpit for the A-10C and use three USB controllers along with my flight stick and throttle. Before installing DSC World I exported all my conifugraitons from DSC A-10C. I then imported them into DSC World A-10C sim and game and in the options window when I press the buttons - everything is mapped and works correctly. But when I try to test it - it seems like nothing is mapped and nothing works. Is it not possible to import the controller settings from DSC A-10C into DSC World?

My understanding is that this is not supported. there were some changes to the key mappings and and calls that made importing not functional.

 

A side by side comparision and manually reset the settings is the best suggestion i heard so far.

Do a quick search on this and you'll discover several threads on this already. Not supported.

You can try to port your Setup from the DCS A10C Config to the DCS World Config via Winmerge. I have done it this Way, and it works very well. :)

Indeed, that will allow for differences but using the import function in the Options>Controls screen may produce a much different result.

If they're the only new commands then what's the problem with sticking the A-10C commands in the World folder?

That still does not mean there are not other alterations to the lua file that can cause problems. Besides, I am inclined to trust the recommendation of testers on this, along with the posts of people who did it and are having problems.

I went ahead and tried it, copied and pasted my configs from A-10C to DCS World. So far, everything is working perfectly, hopefully it stays that way.

IMPORT INPUT JOYSTICK KEYBOARD CONTROLS: Copy and Pasting my profile from LOCKON into USER/SAVE GAMES/DCS WORLD folder then creating Modifiers for my joystick buttons worked great for me.
