J. Heller Posted May 31, 2012 Posted May 31, 2012 I own A-10, how do I use this DCS world thingy? Is there some installation or something? Is it automatic? I have the steam version, dont know if that matters. Could use some insight into what I'm supposed to be doing with DCS world. Thanks. J. Heller Posted May 31, 2012 Author Posted May 31, 2012 So I have to pay for P-51 to get DCS world? I dont want no stinking WW2 aircraft. If not then great and thanks! 2 Win7 64 Gigabyte 790XTA-UD4P AMD Phenom II 965 BE@3.6Ghz 8GB ADATA Gaming series@1333 2X ASUS ATi 5770 1GB Stock in Crossfire Sound Blaster X-Fi Xtreme Gamer 2x WD Caviar Black 320GB HDD's 1000W Xion 80 plus Gaming series PS
Grimes Posted May 31, 2012 Posted May 31, 2012 You don't need to pay for or install the P-51 module to DCS World. Thats just where the DCS World install files are located on the website since it was introduced with the P-51 first. The right man in the wrong place makes all the difference in the world. xxJohnxx Posted May 31, 2012 Posted May 31, 2012 No you don't have to pay for the P-51. However, confusongly you have to download World from the P-51 page, however you don't need the P-51 module. J. Heller Posted June 1, 2012 Author Posted June 1, 2012 Ok thanks guys. I'll just wait for it to be released as an actual installation package. Beta's arent really the thing for me. Fakum Posted June 7, 2012 Posted June 7, 2012 (edited) The only thing Im a bit confused about is this, since Im finishingup building a fresh new rig, I will install the word files 1st, then the A-10 full module 1.1.2.1 (which I have a license for), now the part I dont understand. I own the original Blackshark Sim (the 1st one, not BS2) and have a license for, but I did NOT do the upgrade for BS when it came out. If I download and install the "BS2 full module 1.1.2.1 " will that accept my original license number to run it or do I have to purchase the BS2 upgrade if I want to incorporate it? Jona33 Posted June 7, 2012 Posted June 7, 2012 You will need to purchase BS2 Full or Standalone. (Can't remember what it's called.) Do NOT buy upgrade until world is out of beta. Something to do with Starforce. Always remember. I don't have a clue what I'm doing
