Spudman Posted June 8, 2012 Posted June 8, 2012 Could someone tell me how to assign my new pedals to rudder and my throttle to throttle please? I have the CH sort.
Bungle_uk Posted June 8, 2012 Posted June 8, 2012 (edited) Not sure how the CH is set up, i.e. if it has seperate USB connections for each section or if there all combined into 1 controller. Hopefully though this will help you. Open up the options section then: 1. Select controls 2. Select the relevent airframe (e.g. A-10 sim) 3. Select axis commands 4. Select appropriate control (e.g. rudder) 5. Double click in the column of the controller you wish to assign the rudder to 6. Move the axis you wish to control that function (In this case the pedals). You should see the relevant axis in the Button/Key section e.g. "Slider 1" or "X axis" 7. If you find the axis is the wrong way round E.g. left is right then select the Axis tune. You can invert the axis here or adjust sensitivity and deadzone etc.. Repeat for throttle etc.. Hope that helped ;) Note: You will need to repeat this for each airframe in DCS World, this is intentional to allow you different setting for each aircraft. Edited June 8, 2012 by 214th_bungle_uk
Spudman Posted June 8, 2012 Author Posted June 8, 2012 Thank you so much, it worked. I can't tell you how long I messed with this thing and couldn't get it to work. The interesting thing is I did exactly what you said many times before I posted that I needed help on here and it didn't work. I'm thinking that it wasn't seeing my controllers for some reason. Anyway, thanks for your time and effort.
shagrat Posted June 8, 2012 Posted June 8, 2012 Just a tip, a common problem when setting up USB-Controls: when you have multiple controllers with more axis, check that you assign only one controllers axis to a control e.g. by default all x- and y-axis get assigned to pitch and roll. So if you have rudders with toe-brake axis that act as X- and Y-axis you will roll/pitch your plane by accidently stepping on the pedals :joystick: Shagrat - Flying Sims since 1984 - Win 10 | i5 10600K@4.1GHz | 64GB | GeForce RTX 3090 - Asus VG34VQL1B | TrackIR5 | Simshaker & Jetseat | VPForce Rhino Base & VIRPIL T50 CM2 Stick on 200mm curved extension | VIRPIL T50 CM2 Throttle | VPC Rotor TCS Plus/Apache64 Grip | MFG Crosswind Rudder Pedals | WW Top Gun MIP | a hand made AHCP | 2x Elgato StreamDeck (Buttons galore)
