Your current steerpoint is automatically your default SPI - confirm by having regard to the HUD indication bottom left of SPI generator, STPT. To toggle from another SPI generator, just set SPI to steerpoint via the HOTAS.

You can do that in several ways.

1. With TAD as SOI: Place the cursor on the location you want the markpoint then do TMS right short.

2. With TGP as SOI: TMS right short

In fact, i think almost every sensor can create a mark point. But i only use TAD + TGP, and overhead marks. OH marks are created with the mark (MK?) button on the UFC.

Edit: I just misread the entire post. I will punish my self later on.

and you can use markpoints as flight plan waypoints too.

AWAITING ED NEW DAMAGE MODEL IMPLEMENTATION FOR WW2 BIRDS

Fat T is above, thin T is below. Long T is faster, Short T is slower. Open triangle is AWACS, closed triangle is your own sensors. Double dash is friendly, Single dash is enemy. Circle is friendly. Strobe is jammer. Strobe to dash is under 35 km. HDD is 7 times range key. Radar to 160 km, IRST to 10 km. Stay low, but never slow.

Another option:

Select TAD as SOI

Slew cursor over SPI

Hook SPI (TMS UP)

Now on your TAD page, OSB 17ish, you'll see a number with a question mark next to it. If you press that OSB a mission waypoint will be created with whatever number was next to that "?"

...options are good :)
