Ghostrida9 Posted June 26, 2012 Posted June 26, 2012 Its been a long while since I ever had the Time to play a Sim..but finally, I heard about DCS World, I download the Files, uninstalled my A-10C and just tryed DCS World Alone, (Single player).. the following error appeared after rebooting the Computer also. When i go to Mission Editor, and just simply place a plane somewhere, Ramp takeoff..and Click Fly, the Sim crashes back to Desktop after 96% of loading without any error message. (At least I don't see one). When I try the same with placing a Su-25 somewhere and set it to "player" same problem (Crash at 96%).. I've placed nothing else on the Map !! My System: Win XP Proffesionall 32Bit 4Gb Ram Radeon HD 5450 Intel Core 2 Duo E 8500 RAF Gütersloh Airbase Project Now or Never

Mustang Posted June 26, 2012 Posted June 26, 2012 From what i understand 32bit users will have problems with the current beta, so please wait until next release (or upgrade to 64bit)
71st_Mastiff Posted June 26, 2012 Posted June 26, 2012 From what i understand 32bit users will have problems with the current beta, so please wait until next release (or upgrade to 64bit) well it's been a little over a month all most 2 since last update of beta, so not sure when that's going to get updated? I thought we paid for an exclusive beta testing program and it seem its not. you guys are getting the latest great working updates and we still can not play a good beta? GGTharos Posted June 26, 2012 Posted June 26, 2012 No, you paid for a final product with access to the beta as a bonus. well it's been a little over a month all most 2 since last update of beta, so not sure when that's going to get updated? 71st_Mastiff Posted June 26, 2012 Posted June 26, 2012 No, you paid for a final product with access to the beta as a bonus. So your saying we paid for first beta and no updates, until official release then? "any failure you meet, is never a defeat; merely a set up for a greater come back", W Forbes. GGTharos Posted June 26, 2012 Posted June 26, 2012 You'll get updates when they're ready. So your saying we paid for first beta and no updates, until official release then? SmokeyTheLung Posted June 26, 2012 Posted June 26, 2012 No, he's saying you payed for a preorder of a sim that will be released in the near future. You happen to get the privilege of trying the software in beta as a bonus. I'm sure your issues will be addressed as the beta progress... That's kinda the point of a beta version. Edit: what GG said. System specifications: Computer, joystick, DCS world, Beer
Ghostrida9 Posted June 27, 2012 Author Posted June 27, 2012 I hear ya'll, thing is i don't wanna brake my stystem right now since its running perfect also with many of my programms that I need for work.. and i'm not sure if they would run smoothly..will buy a new HDD and try a Win7 64Bit Version with all the Programms to see if things work out..I could use the advantage of 8GB Ram and more then.. Does DSC World also make use of more then 4GB Ram..? I guess RAF Gütersloh Airbase Project Now or Never
winz Posted June 27, 2012 Posted June 27, 2012 It uses more then 2GB - that's the default memory limit for every process in a 32bit system. :) Can be extended to 3GB via the /3GB switch, by that can influence OS stability. The Valley A-10C Version Revanche for FC 3
Ghostrida9 Posted June 27, 2012 Author Posted June 27, 2012 Right, anyway XP will not be supported for the Future Products that I need so i've to upgrade sooner or later anyway.. Ordered a New HDd allready so I'm aiming for Win 7 Pro 64Bit.. and see what happen with all my Programs plus DCS World. I've also downloaded the A-10C upgrade.. but same result, crash at 96% of the loading button after I've pressed the Fly button..and winz..I mean If DCS make use of 8GB Ram also on a 64 Bit System? not 32bit..guess the answer is Yes RAF Gütersloh Airbase Project Now or Never
EtherealN Posted June 27, 2012 Posted June 27, 2012 I don't know the maximum amount of RAM that DCS can use, but more is always nicer - specifically because other processes running on the system are then less likely to intrude on the memory space. So for example, if the game uses 4GB, and you have 4GB, there's no space for your OS. If you have 8GB, there's plenty of space for your OS and anything else that happens to run, meaning less swap file usage etcetera.
