Hello All,

I finally order my Shkavl LCD, it’s 8”. I built the hood for it with some aluminum from Home Depot and the outer part is foam I pick up at my local fabric store, they use it to cut fabric or something like that. Any way here’s some new pic’s.

Thanks for the good feedback guys, just a few more things to complete and it will be time to fire this thing up.

Acemark: The segments are just a photo copy for now, not sure what I will be using to display these numbers. This will be included in the next phase along with maybe a cyclic grip like your :Dand some kind of FFC.

Flim, I showed my wife your cub setup to start warming her up to it lol.

Acemark: easiest way to is have clear squares in your PUI-800 panel and display the Helios display for the PUI-800 through those. I can run 7 segment displays, but I believe I would have to do custom coded symbols for the letters. (I'll do it someday). The first method is so much easier. You just create labels in Helios that will show the data. I believe PUI-800 data can be exported to 7-segments though.

Show: you gotta try to get lights in the datalinks as soon as you can. Do you just have to add the LED's or will you need clear lenses on your square buttons? Could you show a bit more of how your datalink buttons are put together?

The switch is a Philmore, http://www.intertexelectronics.com/Philmore-30-14512-Sq-Lighted-Push-Button-SwitchSPST-8A125VOFF-ON--P434.aspx

I had these from another project so I thought I would use them. The switch has a little bulb inside that when you the button the light comes on. Not sure if the Phidget can handle bulbs, but I'm thinking I may need to do something like what you have. I know I can mount a switch and led on a board but not sure I can make the square clear buttons to cover them.

I will use GLKD3 switches I got last june . Just checked Ebay and still available 50 switches for $35.00 Included shiping and took one mounth delivery. They worked well for modding AS they come apart easy to change led coulor. TOO bad 50 square white leds will cost more than the switches.$1.00 a switch not bad.

JG14 Helios can do this ... will need more monitors ... its an idea to ponder. Mark.
