If it was either the CH gear or the 940 then I would go for the CH.

I really would not like to live with the ch throttle anymore though. If you can get another warthog then do it!

How about 2 CH throttles instead of 1? For the Hog I mean. :helpsmilie:

Fat T is above, thin T is below. Long T is faster, Short T is slower. Open triangle is AWACS, closed triangle is your own sensors. Double dash is friendly, Single dash is enemy. Circle is friendly. Strobe is jammer. Strobe to dash is under 35 km. HDD is 7 times range key. Radar to 160 km, IRST to 10 km. Stay low, but never slow.

I am not sure that would be practical. It is a big unit so two side by side would be awkward.

I am not sure why you cant get the warthog anymore, they are out of stock but cant you get it somewhere else? Did they have a price no one else had?

Working on that. ;)

Mmmm. I know CH has a mil-only A-10C Hotas. But MSRP is doubtful. It will surpass TM in price for sure if it is released to the public domain..

Keep us posted Ghost!

That's nearly what I intend to do with 2 CH products throttles. Side by side, for maximum control over bi-engine aircrafts. Thanks for sharing peter!

Here is my purchase:

Fighterstick USB - RoHS96.78

Pro Throttle USB - RoHS 99.99

Pro pedals 86

Now starts the waiting/tracking game... I'll first try CH throttle and if I like it, I'll order the second and proceed with the build. I am really excited!!

That is indeed what I'm doing. However, the only Suncom parts I'm using are the handles, switches. The hats, base, and internal parts (PCBs and POTs) are all CH Products.

UPDATE 2:

Package arrived :D

Just got my stuff all the way to KSA.

I have one opinion regarding my previous conception of CH products being crappy plastic: STUPID!

This stuff is the best and most accurate, non hall effect, pots made HOTAS.

The fighter stick is great, the throttle is just awesome with sensitivity, oh, and the rudder pedals..my GOD! Attached track of sample runway takeoff and general performance using first time the rudder in my life! OH MY GOD!!!!

Landing got a bit bumpy but managed to do a cross wind with the rudder, a first time experience using rudder in my life.

No more crashing to the sides of runway with the mustang, during takeoff.

I can't wait to go home (cuz I'm expat, remember?) and get the new desktop rig, fly with my west coast buddies from cali, and the united kingdom. Props to cat_101, and liquidIce.

CH products have just got a 1000000% loyal customer. I will, also get another pro throttle, 2 MFP's and their extra sets of 26-50 keys.

Oh man!!! , I am crying out of joy and satisfaction. For a year now, using Z and X for rudder with even the A-10c. I can't wait to try the setup this friday with A-10C. Best rudder input I've seen. God bless America!

Are there any Ch pro cover makers out there? deadman don't do them. I'd like a cover for each component; stick, rudder and throttle.

Will update thread with pics. But for now, indulge in world 1.2.0. with a track of my first true HOTAS takeoff, cruise and landing (44 mins).

If you notice that stick was moving erratically because throttle has this mini mouse default assigned to be a stick, so, as soon as I landed, I remapped entire system.

Flight track (DCS World 1.2.0) first time with CH products fighter stick USB, pro throttle USB, pro rudder. [247.85 kb]

Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks to all who advised CH products. You made my wait worth it.

Lots of profiles at CH Hanger to download. What I did was download a profile with all the commands from whatever game I was going to play and made a fresh profile from scratch. That's just how I like to do mine.

CH Rudder is actually not really good because the pedals are way too close and also there is very distinct step when crossing left/right push. I bought a pair some while back and lately I finallt got some good use for them (when I bought them and tried them I preferred my own made rudder pedals) ... I used my own made mechanism for the rudder base and attached pedals from CH rudder pedals so I can get toe brakes also (which I didn't have before with my own made pedals)

The plastic used in CH products is actually pretty good, I have to give them credit for that, they do make things to last.

I've been using CH pedals for over 8 years and NEVER had a problem with them being close or the step from crossing left/right as you say.

I don't think that Kuky intend was to tell that (your) CH-rudders are bad...

They are just too narrow for some of us.

And they are really of not much use when you use a centerstick config with them.

Further:

A greater throw = better control of fine adjustments.

Since two years I'm a happy owner of Pro Flight Rudder Pedals. I also dismantled them twice to remove dust and dirt and to grease them, So they are in a absolute good condition and very precise.

Before I got them I used CH Rudder Pedals - also very sturdy and reliable - but I started to experiment with a centre stick position for helicopter use and it was just to uncomfortable. The CH Pedals are designed for the Typical Cessna pilot - with a Flight-yoke in his hands instead a moving Stick between his legs.biggrin.gif

They are too narrow - after I used the saitek I will hardly comeback to the CH. It's just so much more comfortable - even If you don't use a centrestick config.

I've only used a center mounted stick. As they should be ;) I've never had an issue. Even in my Obutto. Of course I don't put my whole foot onto each of the pedal/s. I only put my toes onto the heel of each of the pedal and only use the brake/s when I want to stop.

Kuky didn't mean it that way, things like this are different for everyone. As far as the fine adjustments go.....CH is very good at that. Even with them being narrow the control is there. I have never tried a center stick, side stick all the way here, I'm just use to it because I worked on F-16's for 12 years.

Hey, they work for me.. Mustang first takeoff was smooth as butter. I really enjoyed it.

I even played A-10C and gun runs are now more precise and on target, that almost anything is killable now with guns. it's gonna be my trend to chew tanks with only 30mm cannon. the mighty GAU-8/A. Special thanks to Ghost for his advice and continued support. God bless, and Godspeed!

The build of CH products is indeed good, so I don't mean it's bad in that way but for my preference the pedals are too close and just don't resemble distance between pedals in real aircraft well. For example the rudder pedals I build myself are 40cm (or 16" for you imperialysts :)) apart (from centre of left pedal to centre of right pedal) and for me the feel and control is better, I am sure people get used to anything they have with time but me having tried it I find I don't like them in this regard.

Also the mechanics of them are not the best either as if you would graph preassure vs distance traveled (when you push the rudder to one side) is not al gradual analog curve.

They do have quite nice toe brakes which is why I used them for my own rudder pedal setup.

I haven't had a problem with them being close or not precise, but I have been using them for over 8 years. I know when I bought the FCC modded cougar, I didn't like it. I'm sure if I kept it longer then a few weeks it would have turned out fine.
