Module Fidelity

I think this thread should be retitled to "Module Fidelity", and moved to a more generic place, "Third Party Projects" sub-forum for instance.

The result of this poll is not just for IRIS, all other 3rd party developers should know what will happen if they make arcade modules (something like Microsoft Flight)!

 

Our community motto is: "In Super High-Fidelity we trust."

I really love the Su-25T but that should be the very lowest fidelity limit of any module.

I think you're asking the wrong question. I'd be surprised if anybody wouldn't like to have the Super High (which is where I put my vote). I think you'd be better asking what is the minimum fidelity that you'd accept.

From my point of view, the only thing not making the Su-25T Super-High-Fidelity in this list is that it doesnt have a clickable-cockpit and configurable radios, so its a bit unfair to the toad. Everything else is Super-High-Fidelity when it comes to that plane, like how the RWR loses contact with the radar when you roll and the little brake indicator etc, not to mention the awesome flight model! Remember, the real aircraft is simpler avionics-wise when compared to the Hog or the Shark...

 

I voted High-Fidelity since I also believe it to be better to get people started flying in DCS, but I do like the Super-High-Fidelity stuff also.

Edit: Also, when it comes to modern-day aircraft with avionics that is still classified I guess the devs will make broad simplifications of the operations of the systems, simply because they wouldnt know how it works IRL.

I cant accept high i really cant... i feel like alot is missing in the Frog and i always feel the urge to spool up the Hog its engines then.

wow is this even a question of course I would like it high I mean I would LIKE it higher but I am guessing you mean setting standards so no junk slips into DCS world?
