joey45 Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 Here >http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/downloads/misc/ < those are saved as a file called PSD. you can use Photoshop if you want, But I use GIMP myself. You will need a plugin to export the files into DDS format though. The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance. VH-Rock Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 Rudel, Out of interest, what settings do you use when saving your .dds files? Virtual Horsemen - Right Wing (P-51) - 2008... Virtual Ultimate Fighters - Lead (P-47) - 2020...
WildBillKelsoe Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 Rudel, Out of interest, what settings do you use when saving your .dds files? Yeah, I always wondered what the settings for export are. To OP, you could've put these guys to work! Cheers  AWAITING ED NEW DAMAGE MODEL IMPLEMENTATION FOR WW2 BIRDS Fat T is above, thin T is below. Long T is faster, Short T is slower. Ali Fish Posted August 7, 2012 Posted August 7, 2012 (edited) alpha channel is not used upon the skins, although some have it because it was set as DXT5. theoretically DXT5 is overkill and un necessary. DXT1 is actually enough. it just doesnt have an alpha associated. but looking at samage files maybe im wrong on that. and for now and for the sake of simpilicity in saving i have been saving them as dxt5, Edited August 7, 2012 by Ali Fish [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
