I had built a mission with A-10C heights of 5000m, but the waypoints on ground targets are in the air.

I went into the CDU | Waypoint 3 and, using the scratchpad, entered 0m as the height

That worked fine for Waypoint 3 but all other waypoints are affected - but I only want Waypoint3 to be ground based

SOmeone mentioned using a Markpoint(it'll be ground-height) but I want it to work with the current waypoint system

The easy answer is to do it in Mission Editor surely?

in the mission editor, edit each waypoint or on the fly punch in the waypoint initials and hit LSK R2 then punch in desired altitude, then hit LSK L2.

Fat T is above, thin T is below. Long T is faster, Short T is slower. Open triangle is AWACS, closed triangle is your own sensors. Double dash is friendly, Single dash is enemy. Circle is friendly. Strobe is jammer. Strobe to dash is under 35 km. HDD is 7 times range key. Radar to 160 km, IRST to 10 km. Stay low, but never slow.

Did you enter the desired steerpoint elevation in to the WAYPT 1/2 page? If yes, are you saying that doing so caused all other waypoints to have the same (new) elevation?

IIRC, the WAYPT page does not update when you cycle waypoints using the HOTAS or STEER switches. So you might be changing steerpoints while looking at a static CDU page.

Try changing the elevation value, then try changing to a different waypoint by typing the name into the LSK on the WAYPT page.

If you entered a HOT elevation using the HUD, then there are caveats to address.

This is an old thread, but found it while searching for an answer to this question exactly - I tried to change the WP elevation manually yesterday and it did change it for all waypoints, not just for one. Does anyone have any ideas apart from what BlueRidgeDx wrote?

I'm not sure if this is helpful, but I often run into WPTS for targets that are set on 16000ft for example. I change the WP elevation by going to the CDU-WP-Page and select waypoint. The desired WP has to be selected, thats OSB 19 or so. After startup the WP-Page should show WP 0. I then enter 0 for that WPTS elevation and then it is changed, and for this waypoint only. Never ran into changing all waypoint's elevation data.
