mibo Posted September 14, 2012 Posted September 14, 2012 Hi, Had to install new OS on drive C. Had DCS A10C on DVD version 1.1.0.9 and DCS World (Mustang P51D) these are installed on separate drive G. Had to set up all controls on my G940. When I was almost finished I had a Appl Crash. Uninstalled game and reinstalled it- same issue. So i did not bother much as I had the DCS World with Mustang and A-10C last version and the free Subaru. Installed the controls there. Could install all A-10C controls and axes. But checking one mission I could not find the A-10C. Only the Mustang. So I installed the controls on there. Could not install brake left and brake right. Controls do not react. So i changed the pedals of the 940 (had an old spare one) - same issue - So i switched to FSX deleted pedals controls and installed new. There it works. So the problem is not the G940 but the game. Both A-10C and Mustang. Can someone help me. Also as I already posted the Mustang cannot get higher than 20,000 ft on mission 4 (once I could get to 25,000) but circling around for more than 1/2 hour. Tried every thing DOES NOT WORK. As I have written to DCS about my issue with the DVD A-10C and World not recognizing it - I'll wait for their answer. Concerning the Brakes issue can someone help me?:pain: THANKS A LOT! After installing new OS on drive C but games are on separate driver G. Have installed all controllers and axes. Everything is ok but game does not react on brake left and brake right, Have changed pedals of G940 (I had an old spare one_) = same issue. Then tried to see if I had the same problem with FSX. Deleted Brakes and put them again they work in FSX. So the problem is in the game. What can I do? Also my DVD version of DCS DCA10 had an application crash. Cannot find A-10C game now in DCS World. Mailed to DCS. Await answer. Also as already asked on this forum the P51 4th mission is not working - plane cannot get higher than 20,000 ft.. Did not know that all the DCS games are so delicate and do not work after a short while. Have finally put all my control settings ok as I wanted and almost the same as in real plane with G940. Worked a while ... and now all the above .. it is very frustrating. Please answer me about the brake issue, it must be something with registry files of game. Have uninstalled the game and installled it new (DVD version) no solution - same problem Thanks for yr. help. MegOhm_SD Posted September 14, 2012 Posted September 14, 2012 (edited) Don't know what to tell you bro... I have no problem mapping toe brakes left & right on either aircraft.... but I have a different set. Are you sure you are mapping brakes under Axis and not elsewhere? I can also take the P51 to 40000ft plus... here are a couple of screens at 35000+ on the way up there.... Teapot Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 .. Did not know that all the DCS games are so delicate and do not work after a short while. Window 7ultimate 64 bits, i7 950 at 3.07 GHz, memory 6GB,Video card:560 GTX -TI Hawks, Trackir 5. All the DCS games are not "so delicate". I know you're frustrated, but this simulation is so far from deserving that type of back-handed comment. :( The applications are very robust IMO ... certainly when you compare it to FSX which truly is a nightmare to get to a playable state. Moving on, I can't really tell what you're doing wrong, but when I have issues I find it helpful to go back to the basics. Re-read the install instructions Install DCS World latest version If you've followed an upgrade path for the A10 and/or the Blackshark, you'll need to install the originals first Install the latest DCS World versions of the aircraft in point number 3 Install the latest DCS World version of the P-51D After that you should have a populated DCS World. As far as setting up your options, that's a whole different issue. Again I find it's very logical and straight forward ... but I don't know your gear. Good luck! mibo Posted September 15, 2012 Author Posted September 15, 2012 Thanks Teapot, or any body else on line .I already tried to install al this just the brake problem persists. It is difficult to taxi Mustang without brakes. Could you tell me on your game (if you have G940 from Logitech) which key buttons are shown for Brake left and brake right on the axis command list.. Also one could open an assignement for wheal Brake R + L and see which key button could be assigned eg: Joy-ARZ, AX, Ay, AX FRY etc. then I could copy it into my assignement Key and see if it is accepted. Thanks again.
joey45 Posted September 16, 2012 Posted September 16, 2012 (edited) I use the G940 I use the axis commands not key press. Under axis double click the axis you want in this case the brakes and it should show up. Edited September 16, 2012 by joey45 The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance. mibo Posted September 17, 2012 Author Posted September 17, 2012 One has to use axis commands. But when I do it there is no reaction. The game does not register the press
