The fips will be up an coming soon, I want to get as much out of the X52Pro as I can before I tackle the task of trying to figure my way around making , displaying pictures. Once again welcome to our new home. Enjoy your visits  EDIT : after years of tinkering and toiling ( with the help of others) it is too the point that this project is working. Rather than having everyone dig through all of the post to find a particular script I have condensed the current versions here via hyper links. Slayer
Keep up the hard work. You guys will get it done, you are very close now. ED has done some work on the X-52 display, you can see the trail of evidence in their files but I have never seen it work nor is there any documentation for it. I believe it is due to the buggy DirectOutput and them not wanting another support headache. Maybe if you send a private message to some ED devs they can offer some advice or will take an interest in this thread and provide some help to facilitate this. I have always wished to use the FIP in the DCS series, It is a shame that Saitek has ignored it. If you get this working I will finally buy one as I don't fly enough FSX or X-Plane to justify the cost. I'm sure many will be watching this thread with interest even if they don't post. algerad3
Done deal !!!! Sent a Pm out to Wags with link. Maybe devs can come in and keep an eye on things for us. Fast track. I have to admit I am totally stoked. Having Purchased the x-52 3-4 years ago because of the mfd, even though I had a solid X-52 non pro. Now no one is really working on plugins much any more. algerad3
O.k I could not leave well enough alone. I uh ,well you see I uhm just had to ahhh You know uhm. I made a call to MainPanel:rotorrpm and I assigned the result to my fip. It kinda works!!!! Then I added more stuff cuz I got more fips and ... It kinda works. I need help with bit map headers or something , I get pixels and their moving, so I am pretty sure it is updating the gauges. I just need to straighten them out . Everything on high, using the tnext function at 2.0, I get 23 fps which is 2 less than normal. I get the "hiccups"time lag which I think that can be cleaned up. anyhow , HeeeLP !!!!!! If you have fip/s and want to test , help , annoy , pester, solve or are just nosy here you go. :helpsmilie: :book:Export.lua Edited September 17, 2012 by algerad3 someone did not like gramatical errors [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] CPIAS FOR Saitek: Saitek Flight instrument panels and X-52 pro mfd scripts for Dcs http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=94174
SV_huMMer
Woohooo!!!!!!!! Algerad3, you are THE man! :-) Now will dig my three FIPs out of that dusty corner under my bed! :-))) I will do my very best to test it (which is kinda challenge for someone who can't tell the difference between "argument" and "function" LOL). algerad3
in what folder does that LAU file go?? O.k We got Lua's every where, Which Lua file are we referrring to? Saitek Dll goes in to the Dcs bin file of the module you are using. The 64 bit lua.exe, luac.exe and all that goes into the c:program files (x86) lua file. ( remove the original ones first.) Reinstall lua for windows . The tutorial.lua is just an example to show how to get things going. Use that as a template for your lua export setup. In reality you should create a new lua file and add a dofile command pointing to the new file from lua export. If still not clear , tell me lua file you are confused about and we will go from there. SV_huMMer
Algerad3, does your DLL allow to assign functions to FIP controls (rotaries and buttons)? If so, what is the syntax to be used? Uf not, may I humbly ask whether you have any plans to fiddle with it? :) ================= "Если вы боитесь высоты, значит, вы просто еще не пугались ее отсутствия" "If you fear heights, you simply haven't yet feared the absence thereof" ================= Core i7 2600K, ASUS P8Z68 Deluxe/Gen3, 32GB DDR3 1600, Radeon HD 7950, 256Gb SSD Crucial M4, 2TB Samsung SATAIII, 1,5TB WD SATAIII, 650W Enermax Modu87+

The Author of the dll has opened up a new forum in the name of Saitek for Dcs. check it out. http://forums.chrilith.com/ Hey 82nd, Did you get things sorted out over there? pixelpilot
woah woah woah. i wanna see a pic of what your x52 mfd looks like! mine is a monochrome green affair that only has 3 lines of about 16 characters that can show custom information (not images). All the rest of the display (mode, shift clocks etc) are fixed lcd elements. is there some beasty new model out or something. Haaaang on, this 320x240 customisable screen is the FIP right? I gotta admit i have no clue what that is, forgive my intrusion I'm off to visit google and learn what a saitek FIP is. Saitek had Microsoft flight Sims in mind when the x52 pro came out and never worked on providing access to information on other sims. you can find pics towards the bottom of page one on this thread. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=92667 THe Flight Instrument panels work on the same principle but displays gauges from bmp ,jpeg and I believe png images and /or streams . algerad3
New Tutorial . O.k, Now I finally got it done. The new Saitek tutorial completed. This zip file includes the 64 bit lua components , 2 instructional lua files. I am stuck in a remote area and internet is $1.50 per MB. so I did not include Lua for windows files, If anyone would like to add Lua for Windows to the zip and upload, that would be great. I am still working out a few things , but the basic functionality are set up. I will post more as I learn more.
