**Need your help with choosing a chart holder**

Hello,

I've purchased TC-1 and Georgia's map (by Maplink). I also will purchase ipad 2 16gb wifi this week. I am looking for a chart holder for the maps, and a secure (non-rocking) ipad 2 kneeboard.

I need to be able to write with delible markers on the chart cover, it has to be large to accommodate at least TC-1, and if an insert for ipad2/ the other way around is possible, that'd be nice. Focus on ability to write and being large to display alot of the tactical map.

Here are the choices I've found so far:

^ this one I don't know if it has a strap-on variant, but if you know one like this (flat) with straps for legs, I'd be interested!

If anyone actually flies the sim with a kneeboard, I don't really want to know. ;)

I use what I can find in my flight bag!

A Tri-Fold Kneeboard like this: http://cdn.pilotmall.com/images/uploads/KB3.gif

and for approach plates this clip: http://www.helicoptersonly.com/contents/media/leg%20clip%20l%20300.jpg

When I have used an iPad in flight, it hasn't been with a cover, and I don't bother placing sectional/terminal/enroute charts in a holder since you cover ground fast enough that it only adds workload to remove it for refolding.

When I'm flying civvie, I do

Would certainly help in-SIM for newcomers that don't know the map. One of my first flights I ended up in Sevastopol: I was searching for Krymsk :music_whistling:

I have reference information handy, and occasionally a piece of paper is in my lap, but that is as far as I go. Really don't feel the need to actually secure anything to my leg (which is mostly under the desk anyway :P).
