HiJack Posted October 26, 2012 Posted October 26, 2012 Eweryone is satisfied with the win7 64 bit and don't do dual boot just to test this. Best guess on comparing the 2 is the review sites. (HJ)
Lange_666 Posted October 26, 2012 Author Posted October 26, 2012 Has anybody already ran a performance test between current Windows 7 and the latest RC of Windows 8? And if yes, any results? Since we are on the DCS forum, i thought my question was obvious enough but looking at the first answer, it's not :music_whistling: so i will add a few words to the initial question to make it more clear. Here go's: Has anybody already ran a performance test on DCS World (or any of the stand alone sims) between current Windows 7 and the latest RC of Windows 8? And if yes, any results? @HiJack: No offense dude...:pilotfly: Win11 Pro 64-bit, Ryzen 5800X3D, Corsair H115i, Gigabyte X570S UD, EVGA 3080Ti XC3 Ultra 12GB, 64 GB DDR4 G.Skill 3600. HiJack Posted October 26, 2012 Posted October 26, 2012 (edited) Some info on performance that is done on a testbed. http://www.pcworld.com/article/2011088/pc-gaming-performance-on-windows-8-a-hard-data-analysis.html The reviewer sites is the best to do this stuff you know. EDIT: There is not much difference between the two so for DCS I will say the performance gain must be marginal. There how ever are some interesting features in windows 8 but also some negative things. (HJ) Edited October 26, 2012 by HiJack
