JujuMan Posted November 21, 2012 Posted November 21, 2012 Hi All, Still learning so bear with me on this one....:smilewink: I am designing some training missions which include refuelling on the Tanker. Is it possible to have the Tanker show up on the TAD? If it is, how do I implement that in the Mission Editor. _________________________________________
SmokeyTheLung Posted November 21, 2012 Posted November 21, 2012 Apparently the tanker does not have the requisite equipment for that. TACAN is the only option for tanker navigation... You might try assigning a unit that does have a datalink as a tanker escort System specifications: Computer, joystick, DCS world, Beer

WildBillKelsoe Posted November 21, 2012 Posted November 21, 2012 for an aircraft to appear on TAD, ELPRS must be among the advanced waypoint options. Basically what ELPRS is, is the datalink JTRS switch for other aircrafts. F-16's have, F-15's have, and F-18's have. What you want to do, is to open the mission editor, check out the tanker altitude, and airspeed (which is true airspeed, not indicated) and switch your speed indicated option to true instead of indicated, get to the tanker altitude - 20 feet and you're in for a joyride. AWAITING ED NEW DAMAGE MODEL IMPLEMENTATION FOR WW2 BIRDS Fat T is above, thin T is below. Long T is faster, Short T is slower. Open triangle is AWACS, closed triangle is your own sensors. Double dash is friendly, Single dash is enemy. Circle is friendly. Strobe is jammer. Strobe to dash is under 35 km. HDD is 7 times range key. Radar to 160 km, IRST to 10 km. Stay low, but never slow.
