We are looking for new members!

 

138th Virtual Wing is a Norwegian community that focuses on flying combat flight simulators together online. Our goal is to bring together those Norwegians who are interested in computer based combat flight simulators to fly with us. We are actively seeking new members who are willing to participate in our online activities and to have fun at a moderately serious level.

 

We play mainly Digital Combat Simulator DCS and have currently 4 squadrons for you to join:

- 331 Legends Fighter, flying the DCS P-51D World War II fighter.

- 332 Strike Fighter, flying the DCS A-10C HOG.

- 337 Attack Fighter, flying the DCS: Black Shark 2 Russian attack helicopter.

- 338 Tactical Fighter, currently flying the FC3 F-15C but will move to next DCS level fighter when released.

We also host our own DCS World training server. Look for the "138 Virtuell Luftving" server, the password is displayed when you log on to our TS3 server.

138th Virtual Wing (NOR: 138 Virtuell Luftving) er som en sosial klubb eller idrettslag i den virkelige verden, med sine administratorer, regler, disipliner og forpliktelser. 138th har et ønske om å fly på en profesjonell måte men beholde følelsen av moro. Dette er tross alt en hobby! Vi er stolte av å ha en avslappet, vennlig atmosfære med en god sans for humor. Vi er en helnorsk flysimulator klubb med basis i studie simulator på PC for luft til luft og luft til bakke kamp i online simulert kampmiljø. Klubben ble startet den 20. september 2012 og har nå 10 faste medlemmer men ønsker flere medlemmer som vil satse som jagerpiloter og strikepiloter men også til andre funksjoner som ATC, JTAC og Battle Commander. Vårt slagord er «For Fred og Frihet». Vi bruker TeamSpeak 3 til kommunikasjon hvor vi snakker norsk og trener 2 ganger pr. uke for faste medlemmer og har åpen kveld for alle en dag i uken. Vi har vår egen dedikerte DCS server og utvikler våre egne SOP’s samt utfører opplæring for nye piloter i både A2A og A2G planlegging og tokt. Søkere må være minst 18 år og er pålagt å passere en test kampanje for opptak i den aktuelle skvadronen. 138 virtuell luftving pålegger ikke medlemmene våre mange regler men som nytt medlem vil vi at du legger merke til en av reglene. Vi har ikke noe med hva du har av programmer på din egen pc men vi krever at du har gyldig lisens av flysimulator programmene der du er medlem i en skvadron.

 

For å søke opptak må du registrere deg på vå forum side og legge inn en presentasjon av deg selv. Tilgang til forumet vil bli gitt først etter opptak i luftvingen.

138th Virtual Wing (NOR: 138 Virtuell Luftving) is like a social club or sports team in the real world, with its administrators, rules, disciplines and commitments. 138th has a desire to fly in a professional manner but try to keep the fun. This is after all a hobby! We are proud to have a relaxed, friendly atmosphere with a great sense of humor. We are a Norwegian flight simulator club on the basis of academic simulator on the PC for air to air and air to ground combat in online simulated combat environment. The club was founded on 20th of September 2012 and now has 10 permanent members. Wee need more members for fighter pilots and strike pilots but also for other functions such as ATC, JTAC and Battle Commander. Our slogan is "For Peace and Freedom." We use Teamspeak 3 for communication where we speak Norwegian and train 2 times a week for members and one evening for nonmembers once a week. We have our own dedicated server and the DCS develop our own SOP's operations, and training for new pilots in both A2A and A2G planning and cruises. Applicants must be at least 18 years and are required to pass a test campaign for admission in the current squad. 138th Virtual Wing does not impose our members with many rules but as a new member, we want you to notice one of the rules. We have nothing to do with what you have of program on your own computer but we require that you have a valid license of flight simulator programs which you are a member of a squadron.

 

To apply, you must register who gave forum page and post a presentation of yourself. Access to the forum will be given only after the admission to the air wing.

 

Formation flying with the "Red Lions"

You can even join up with our demo team and fly in formation if that is of your liking. Formation demo team "Red Lions" is starting up now in April 2013. Here are the intro video.

I try to hang out on TeamSpeak at least a couple of days during the week, and Thursdays we're trying to have a somewhat organized training at 8 o'clock. Did some air to air training and formation flying with Jack last time, was great fun :)

Congrats HJ ;)

 

Udat, a former Norwegian squad mate from AH days, he joined 51st afterwards but I couldn't see his name lately on their official roster list. Try to PM him if you want, experienced FC pilot and I'm sure he got even better after his experience among the Bisons.

 

Also if you need WP tips and tricks , I'm your man ;)

Thanks FLANKERATOR, as you see of the communication here we don't have a forum yet but I guess keeping this thread alive won't hurt either. I'll call you up on the WP ;)
