There was a mod for FC2 to unrestrict the view angles for the all the cockpits.

6DOF cockpit's dont have the restrictions, so the F-15 is okay now but the flanker, mig29, etc still have it.

Is there a way to remove it?

Does 6DOF refer to the gravitational affect on the pilot such as head bobble, I'm not exactly sure what it's referring to.

Thank you.

It's refering to moving your head in all directions and reflecting that movement onto the virtual cockpit. Only F-15C has a true 6DOF (6 degrees of freedom: up, down, left, right, forward, back, roll left, roll right) while other FC3 birds don't (thus the mod in the link I provided, which is more of a semi-6DOF fix).

As for the head wobble, it's one of the ingame options (OPTIONS -> MISC section).

I can change my view with the POV in the manor you describe so I must be misunderstanding something here.

What exactly do you mean by moving your head:

"It's refering to moving your head in all directions and reflecting that movement onto the virtual cockpit"

Thank you.

6DOF is typically done with a TrackIR device, I highly recommend getting one. If not, you can still look around with the mouse, clicking and holding the middle mouse button will allow you to move the head up and down, forward and back. Not sure how roll is accomplished without a trackIR though...

I will give it a try. Currently I get those movements except for the head up/down while using the POV. Who sells the Track IR?

Thank you.

^^Yup. It's definetelly worth buying. I got my TrackIR4 6-7 years ago and it's still standing on the top of my monitor, working as intended. Once you try it, there's no going back. ;)

+1

Took some getting used to, but now I literally can't fly without it.

I might even value it more than my HOTAS...
