PeterP Posted December 19, 2012 Posted December 19, 2012 (edited) Guys, no need to give StoOopiD tips for a non-FFB joystick - he don't need them! StoOopiD uses a FFB controller , it's written in his Sig. And FFB seems to be badly broken for Logitch controllers in the current DCS Wold version. And there is no Fix up to now, Swapping axis won't help - there is only a DCS-Extern workaround for this Bug >>> http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1631600&postcount=21 Well, the only charge you can make against StoOopiD is that he didn't made the use of FFB absolute clear in his first post. Ovenmit Posted December 19, 2012 Posted December 19, 2012 The only "fix" so far is to turn off force feedback in the game settings. Works fine for A-10, takes some getting used to if your used to FFB in the shark. Bit of a ridiculous bug really, but whatever. Teapot Posted December 20, 2012 Posted December 20, 2012 ... Well, the only charge you can make against StoOopiD is that he didn't made the use of FFB absolute clear in his first post. And his somewhat brusque bordering on rude response to a person that was genuinely trying to help him ... :P "A true 'sandbox flight sim' requires hi-fidelity flyable non-combat utility/support aircraft." Haha! ;) This "fix" sounds to me like going to the doctor because you have pain in one hand. ...The doctor looks at your arm and cuts it off! Than the doctor asks you if your hand is still hurting . :D

StoOopiD Posted December 20, 2012 Author Posted December 20, 2012 Errr... hold on. Are you aware that trimming a fixed wing is completely different from trimming a helicopter? Your question seems to indicate that you're trying to trim fixed wings the same way you try to trim the Black Shark. That's not how trimming helicopters is done. There's no trimming right/left/up/down. Trim is more like "release forces on cyclic stick at its current position". That's also why there's a huge difference between trimming the Shark with force-feedback vs. no force-feedback. If you don't have a force-feedback stick, make extra sure to untick the corresponding checkbox in the options. Next, read, re-read, and then read again PeterP's standard Ka-50 newbie reply. I'm 95% certain that it'll answer all your questions on trimming (well, and most other questions as well). :) I apoligize for my rude response. I took this post as a insult to my intelligence and to answer your question. I completely understand how aircrafts trim. thanks for your help. StoOopiD Posted December 20, 2012 Author Posted December 20, 2012 If you are using force feedback, swap axes in the FF tune panel in the control settings. Thanks, that did the trick. StoOopiD Posted December 20, 2012 Author Posted December 20, 2012 i have one more question, are the forces backwards in the fixed wing aircraft? Ovenmit Posted December 21, 2012 Posted December 21, 2012 (edited) i have one more question, are the forces backwards in the fixed wing aircraft? Trimming the A10's nose up or down moves the stick left and right.... turning on PAC rolls the aircraft left. So not quite backwards.... Its not the trim thats the problem per say.. its more the force feedback moving the stick which is adding movement.
