thanks for considering, hope you don't mind if i spill couple more ideas. I like to play on your server but sometimes its pretty hard to get a fair game in an a10c with all the fc3 players out there.

-have us airplanes (a10/f15 etc) on blue team russian (su 25/su27) on red,

this way you have all the airplanes with sadl capability in one team.

With sadl setup in advance it would help teamplay and reduce accidental teamkilling.

Also it helps to not have to guess wheter its a friendly su27 or enemy su27 (iff doesnt work on a10)

-you might want to disable aim120 i have heard its performance is unrealistically good (long range lockons etc.) and therefore unfair against planes that cant use it,

removing it would also make dogfights more exiting because you have to get closer in.

-would be great to start a10c with approx 70% fuel, one rarely uses the full 100% before all

weapons are expended and removing fuel takes a long time when arming the plane.

ps i cant find the awacs frequency in my comms menu, I can see the awacs callsign but to reach it I first have to set the right frequency wich I cant find in the brief. From experience I found out its 124mhz am but that is not always the same..

Been playing on this server just fine and after about couple to three hours, I was getting connection interruptions that sent me to the lobby.

Is this the cause of high ping players joining or something else?

On the topic of fighters splashing strikers, there are a few things I will note on how I handle strikers with regard to 104th missions. On Moonshield, I will always attempt to protect Alpha to allow my strikers to get ahead. This being a friendly airfield closer to bullseye means I can divert there for cover or rearm/repair. If I wasn't already trying to protect, I will sweep the area before landing. My F-15 makes an awful juicy looking target sitting on the airfield otherwise. If you manage to capture the airfield, strikers rarely have to worry about me beyond that point.

Other times I will harass strikers off a target area and allow them a path to escape. The ones that choose not to turn around will get splashed. Now if there aren't fighters on the other team I typically won't bother with the strikers at all. With exception to a particularly bold regular SU-25T pilot. Its open season on you, and you probably know and like it that way it seems.

can you upload the standard dcs config files here please.

Had some problems updating and now I cant join the server anymore.

Also can't find any threads on you 104th phoenix website forum (not even when using an us proxy).

plz unblock all EU users and get the cookie popup working or just ignore the stupid law.

Its getting really annoying to have to do 2 hours of troubleshooting everytime i want to get in mt A10C.

Also, why are tacview and tars not allowed?

Probably because the DCS integrity checker is not smart enough to tell the difference between legitimate mods and a cheat. There's no way to add a mod to an "exception" list or something like that- the only two options for a file or directory are all mods accepted or no mods at all.

Intelligent discourse can only begin with the honest admission of your own fallibility.

Maverick.

I'd suggest putting the ground target area's the opposite direction of the enemy bases. 104th server runs great but it is probably one of the only one's that fast movers go out of their way to constantly get easy kills from the groudnd pounders. It's only a few doing it but enough to stay away when flying A-10. As I noted on the forum a couple will even hang out on the enemy voice coms and comment how they are hunting A-10's. You can't ask for Friendly ID on RWR because it gives them your location.

This might have been rectified but not as of a month ago.

Why let ground guys get non-contested kills on ground forces? I'd fly there and kill some of the A2G guys myself sometimes.

That package looked wrong to me RIPTIDE. Completly different from "IC_12.12.2012.rar". Can you check your package?

I think it's correct. We added in a few files and folders as we went along and then released this pack. Was updated 4th Feb 2013.

On paper that's fair. But the ground Ai has a better chance against A-10/KA50 than we do against the fast movers. Nothing better than shooting at something that has no chance of shooting back and often can't even detect the threat until missiles are inbound.

simply put the ground pounders wouldn't operate in hostile area without good cover. With a few exceptions we usually don't have that.

Just nature of the game I guess.

That's a part of war and a part of the game, depends on how mission designers set up their mission. That is another reason why it's best to use TS or Vent when flying on servers that have their comms up. I have no issues blasting a A2G guy out of the sky. Will I fly far out of my way to do it.......sometimes.
