SkateZilla Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 starting 0:20 only it wasnt a panel, but a 250pound bomb and DCS has some issues considering midari collisions, a friend of mine with an a10 hit my KA-50s rotors in once with the tip of his wing and it ripped the wing away from the fuselage. when you colide with another plane its feels really random as to how the game will calculate the damage thanks, that was the video i was referring too. Sov13t Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 While on this topic... There were two ram kills in the Soviet Union that involved jets. One was Su-15 and the other MiG-21 IIRC. 18 July, 1981 on the border of Turkey by an Su-15 piloted by Valentin Kulyapin on a CL-44 he had no time to separate for a shot. Maneuvered his jet under the right stabilizer and then pulled up, afterwards ejected. 28 November, 1973 in Azerbaijan by Evgeniy Eleseev in a MiG-21. Against an Iranian F-4 with an American IP and Iranian trainee, both missiles missed, was then given "taran" command to which he responded "carrying out", his last words. F-4 crew survived. SkateZilla Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 losing your own Aircraft to take out another is considered a FAIL isnt it? maybe it wasnt 30 years ago.. I'd just fly under you with my super Bug and Pop Flares up into your intake :) Windows 10 Pro, Ryzen 2700X @ 4.6Ghz, 32GB DDR4-3200 GSkill (F4-3200C16D-16GTZR x2), ASRock X470 Taichi Ultimate, XFX RX6800XT Merc 310 (RX-68XTALFD9) 3x ASUS VS248HP + Oculus HMD, Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS + MFDs
SkateZilla Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 (edited) 250lb snakeye filled with concrete. Didnt i say it was a Snake Eye? lol. its wierd, as the snake eye falls away from the A-4 the Brakes open up, while it's still attached to the pylon.. if the A-4 wasnt being engulfed in a fireball of JetFuel, and constantly being thrown off axis from it, he might have been able to save it , and possibly fly it home, he leveled it off after the first Roll or two, and the wing deteriorated more as a result of the damage and fire, from there it just got worse. GGTharos Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 Not necessarily, it depends. For example if you're defending HVAA and all you can do to stop the other guy is ram him, that's not a fail. A 'fail' is getting into fights where you end up with mutual kills for no particularly good reason. losing your own Aircraft to take out another is considered a FAIL isnt it? maybe it wasnt 30 years ago.. SkateZilla Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 i can fly the super bug like no other, and realistically, as half of my days off are spent in NAS Oceana's Simulator Windows 10 Pro, Ryzen 2700X @ 4.6Ghz, 32GB DDR4-3200 GSkill (F4-3200C16D-16GTZR x2), ASRock X470 Taichi Ultimate, XFX RX6800XT Merc 310 (RX-68XTALFD9) 3x ASUS VS248HP + Oculus HMD, Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS + MFDs

Kinda reminds me of the fighter pilot in the harrison ford movie "Air Force One"...remember that one? :music_whistling:
Soulres Posted January 21, 2013 Posted January 21, 2013 props to you! being able to get the close and accurately hitting the other player is nothing short of pure luck, ignore these stiffs about "bf3 jet ramming" they dont like being killed in fps's the same way in their simulators.too embarrassing i belive +2 for each direct hit with survival :)
