Hey,

So I decided to try the campain of the F-15 in FC3.

The first task is a trip to the area of operations and familiarity with the area.

After a trip to the 9th way point i have returned to the base for landing but above the base area was heavy fog so it was all very bright with the sun light included (time of day was about noon).

Moreover, near the base there are two other bases who's very confusing.

I found myself lost in on a few points:

1. How do I know that the ILS directed me to the right base? Only by the evaluation of the distance to it or do i have other means of more accurately on the plane? (Without using F-10 - map). I mean how can i tell the current selected ILS navigation is taking me to X and not to Y?

2. When daylight fog all very bright and elements of the HUD are too very bright.

i found you can change the color of the HUD by pressing the H + RCtrl but funny thing is that all other colors are bright too and there isn't any dark color like red or dark blue. Any solution for this one?

3. How do I know from which direction should i get to the track for landing? Are there any international markings I do not know about?

The result was i were able to land after about five attempts so you all can relaxed. no harm done. yet.

I'm not sure if these systems are finished yet and not manual-worthy to publish. At least, thats the feeling i'm getting with the HUD and waypoints with automatic piloting.

All instrument terminal procedures are done using a step-by-step process called an instrument approach. This is conveyed using a one page guide often referred to as an "approach plate." The approach plate tells you what navaids to use, all of the frequencies you need, the instruments involved in the approach you're using (for example, there'd be a seperate approach for Runway 9 and runway 27 on a single strip with ILS in both directions), and the minimums (which consist of values such as how low you can go before needing to miss the approach because you can't see the runway).

Since there aren't any approach plates available that match DCS navaids, it makes this sort of thing extremely tricky to apply in the game. I'd recommend letting the fake ATC in the game "vector" you onto the ILS for now.
