ENO Posted July 23, 2013 Posted July 23, 2013 Oooh okay... well I learned something today. I looked closer at your aircraft setup and it was an AI unit with no orders to do anything... I changed that, gave it orders to drop ordinance, expanded the target zone to make sure a bomb landed within it... tried both AIR and just mk82... Still nothing. I don't know- maybe someone else can illuminate this for us. "ENO" Type in anger and you will make the greatest post you will ever regret. "Sweetest's" Military Aviation Art
BrunoDerRabe Posted July 23, 2013 Posted July 23, 2013 (edited) Hi, not sure if this is helpfull. I do remember the challenge to get the bombers doing their task correctly while creating DCS WORLD FREEFLIGHT 1.2.4.miz . Feel free to edit the mission with the Missioneditor and have a look into the triggers of the 4 Tornados and the B1 wich are working. Edited July 23, 2013 by BrunoDerRabe

I'm remembering the file name and it's the right one. There should only be a single player controlled A-10C, flying directly to a waypoint point over an orange smoke marker. The smoke is activated by a trigger. The second trigger should detect the bomb in the zone (not working). So I'm puzzled about the Tornados and the AI unit you are talking of. ENO Posted July 23, 2013 Posted July 23, 2013 The A-10 was set to "high" and had no advanced waypoint orders. So- like I said, I had it drop bombs inside a much larger target area zone and it still didn't work. So basically I'm just agreeing that it's definitely not working right at least as far back as 1.2.4... now that 1.2.5 is out it may be worth trying again. VFA41_Lion Posted July 23, 2013 Posted July 23, 2013 (edited) Does anyone know what the value means in the condition? I was hoping it meant # of bombs or altitude but nothing happened. :( EDIT: Works in 1.2.5 Edited July 23, 2013 by NPOSuperhornet

I was hoping it meant # of bombs or altitude but nothing happened. :( I also wonder what this means. Thought it were the number of bombs until now. EDIT: Works in 1.2.5 cool. :) couldn't try it yet. PS: confirmed. It's working now. idenwen Posted December 8, 2013 Posted December 8, 2013 Sorry for reviving a old thread but... ...someone got this to work with LGBs (GBU-12 in this case). Tried the different MK-8x to see if base ammunition was the right thing but none triggered and LGBs dont show up in the trigger list.
Spectre_USA Posted December 2, 2014 Posted December 2, 2014 Almost a year later, and I am also sorry to re-animate the dead, but is this broken again? I am only dabbling in triggers for the first time with the Hawk, and cannot get BDU-33's to register. I drop in a bigger and bigger zone, and still no register of 2 of 6 bombs dropped in a 3,000 meter zone. Is is still working for anyone else? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] A tale of 2 hogs
9.JG27 DavidRed Posted December 2, 2014 Posted December 2, 2014 yes, bomb in zone is working in general, dont know about that specific bomb you are trying though.... BUT, in my view there is a problem with this trigger function, as it doesnt detect whether the bomb really did impact in the zone, but triggers the action as soon as it flies within the zone...so if you drop your bomb, but overshoot the zone, it will still trigger it as "bomb in zone" and trigger the set action, even if the bomb flies past the zone, detonatiing somewhere behind the zone....
