AMD A8-5600K @ 4GHz, Radeon 7970 6Gig, 16 Gig Ram, Win 10 , 250 gig SSD, 40" Screen + 22 inch below, Track Ir, TMWH, Saitek combat pedals & a loose nut behind the stick

The new version is out.

http://www.ivibe.com/index.php?page=downloads

BTW, the older versions are never deleted from the server. You can edit the link in the address bar of your browser to get older versions.

Example.

link to newest version:

http://www.ivibe.com/downloads/TFS3/TFS3ControlPanel_V1.9.271_Setup.exe

link to the version just before I broke it

http://www.ivibe.com/downloads/TFS3/TFS3ControlPanel_V1.9.256_Setup.exe

I will add archive links to older versions to my to do list.

Apologies for all the trouble.

I had time for a quick test and mine is working again with the latest version.

BTW Rob, If you should ever need a tester for anything to do with DCS Blackshark and Ivibe, I will be happy to help.

Rob, when you get a chance...

More on Expansion Zones:

Can I use motors from my TFS2 and wire them to plugs and have it work as added Expansion Zones? I understand about them not being controlled yet.

Yes, you can do that. In fact each expansion zone is capable of driving two of those motors. One caveat though, you must get the polarity of the connection correct. There is a small snubber circuit on the motor to keep noise from the motor being radiated and causing interference. Part of that snubber circuit is a diode, if you connect it the wrong way you will let the magic smoke out of either the output chip or that diode. I will see if I can draw you a diagram that will help you connect it up. I'm overwhelmed right now, so it may take a day or so.

I'm also talking to craig about bringing more testers on-board today. I'll get back to you on that.

Thank you. That was a good laugh and after last week I needed that!

Little OT, but:

I installed FC3 and just tested it with IVIBE and Helios configured for A-10.

Helios not working ... understandable :smilewink: but TFS3 ... wow ... ist real rumbling

I guess it reads the datas like for A-10 but due the power and Speed it goes crazy ....

Try it !

Or are there real files for the FC3 planes ?

And now .. back to Topic !

Are you using the stand alone FC3(Did that even get released?)?

Or the FC3 planes in DCS World?

I'm going to take a guess and say DCS World.

To get the TFS3 and helios working with DCS World 1.2.3, take the helios file that works and just add the following line to the top or bottom and save:

intelliVIBE = true

There are tfs files for the FC3 planes, look for the following file names in your tfs file folder:

DCS_World_default_FC3-A-10A.tfs

DCS_World_default_FC3-F-15C.tfs

DCS_World_default_FC3-MiG-29S.tfs

DCS_World_default_FC3-Su-25.tfs

DCS_World_default_FC3-Su-27.tfs

DCS_World_default_FC3-Su-33.tfs

You are welcome Tom :)

Let me know if you need anything else.

P.S. I have installed another theme or two for our forum. I know some of you didn't like the red fonts, so please go look at the other options. You can change the theme in your user profile. If anyone has other theme suggestions, just let us know.

Phew! Thanks for that! I can see again.

I am unable to post there as I cannot answer your security questions correctly. It does not accept any answer I type in. I just wanted to share my tfs file there.

Back to Expansion Zones. The plugs for these are stereo or mono type plugs?

I turned off the security questions for now at least. We are going to revisit that in the near future. To many are people are having issues with it though, so it's gone for now.

The Expansion zones are mono. You need a 1.3mm barrel plug connector to fit the jack on the pcb. Then you can connect one or two motors to that zone. If you connect 2 they will both do the same thing, you just get more power.

I'm trying to get you a drawing to help you connect it up. I'm just overwhelmed right now. I'll get it to you as soon as I can.

Hi guys, can I ask if this is working with Helios and both A10 and the KA50 yet. Currently have a buttkicker, but I now can't use it in the evenings as it is rather loud and you can hear it next door. So I'm looking for something that does the same but that only I will notice when it's working.

However, I don't want to lose my Helios setup as I don't think I will be able to fly without it.

If someone could let me know if this issue is sorted yet, as to be honest it's the only thing that's stopping me moving over.

Thanks

TFS3 has nothing to do with Helios. For the TFS to work, you just add one line to the export.lua. No way I would fly without Helios either :)

Yes I know, but I thought there was issues with having TFS and Helios working at the same time with The Blackshark I think. I'm sure that's mentioned a few pages back. If its all working now or if im wrong like normal ;) then fantastic.

All I fly is BS and TFS3 works fine with Helios. The default Blackshark tfs file was not very good. I've made a couple versions that I like much more.

That's great news Thankyou. Time to retire the Buttkicker I think.

Just one more question if I may, how exactly does this connect upto PC. Does it use the audio connection or something else? I'm currently using astro a40 headphones which use the optical output on my PC for sound. I've tried looking for a manual and looking at the pics to see which connection it uses, but can't work it out at mo.

It uses a USB hookup. It also has an audio 1.8mm plug.

I am not using audio as I am waiting on Audiosense to come out with the next build of TFS control panel. Audiosense will allow further tuning options based on sound output and a squelch to prevent unwanted vibes through the sound channel. Audiosense will make the sound channel much more usable and I miss this feature from my TFS2.

My current setup runs only through the USB port and I get full vibrations with no sound turned on at all.

The Blackshark is probably the most difficult airframe to get a good feel from the seat, but I am much happier now and would not be able to fly without my TFS3, just as I could not go without Helios.

Hopefully, Rob and Craig are almost ready to start shipping again after Hurricane Sandy. If you can manage to get one, you will be glad you did.
