Aries Posted March 15, 2013 Author Posted March 15, 2013 network.cfg Can Tacview record MP tracks then like Helios can work in MP without changing that particular line? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] ...the few, the proud, the remaining...
ENO Posted March 16, 2013 Posted March 16, 2013 I'm under the impression the line about export needs to be = true to allow clients to use Tacview. "ENO" Type in anger and you will make the greatest post you will ever regret. "Sweetest's" Military Aviation Art
Aries Posted April 8, 2013 Author Posted April 8, 2013 Im pretty sick of this right now... I can't see what happened on most of the MP servers cause Tacview ain't recording... I have to play the MP track on my pc so it can record it in Tacview after every MP session and we all know how bad tracks replay... This is utterly unnaceptable... I barely have time to enjoy flying, an I can't spend double the time to generate Tacview records and use my computer as some sort of Tacview record generating farm... So please, anyone... can this be fixed somehow? :( Tacview records are half the fun, and you took it away from us by "improving" the game environment... [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] ...the few, the proud, the remaining...
ENO Posted April 8, 2013 Posted April 8, 2013 I'm not sure what your ping will be like over there- but if you see the firehouse / hollo pointe servers in your MP server list... we both run with exports enabled not to mention a great foundation of guys who love the sim and are great to get along with. 1 "ENO" Type in anger and you will make the greatest post you will ever regret. BRooDJeRo Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 Guys, don't get paranoid... ;) Sometimes i'd wish I was paranoid, have you watched the news the past couple of thousand years? Conclusion?

Why are Tacview records half the fun? I play the game with buddies and for the most part, when the missions over... It's over. What am I missing? Why is this so important to you? Sierra This table could not be possible without detailed, rewindable Tacview records: Mission Record Kill Table Sometimes, in a record you can actually see what happened in combat, amazing things can be noticed... totally different from what you thought had happened while in cockpit... Aries Posted April 9, 2013 Author Posted April 9, 2013 Have you ever heard about time acceleration while playing tracks? Have you ever tried to review a Tacview record from an accelerated track? If you ever had, you wouldn't have written the above... :music_whistling: [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] ...the few, the proud, the remaining...
Rhinox Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 Have you ever tried to review a Tacview record from an accelerated track? If you ever had, you wouldn't have written the above... :music_whistling: Yes I have. I even compared acmi-files created at 1x, 2x, 4x and 8x speed. No difference. Or in other words, equally off reality (including the track file)...
Aries Posted April 9, 2013 Author Posted April 9, 2013 (edited) Yes I have. I even compared acmi-files created at 1x, 2x, 4x and 8x speed. No difference. Or in other words, equally off reality (including the track file)... Mine were very jumpy & jittery... Will have to retry... but am somehow sceptic... EDIT: Just tried to replay in 8x our Gudauta Rush sortie from sunday... The bitch track parked my Hawg by the side while taxiing and then later slowly pushed it over grass and rolled it dead by the runway... ...do you now understand why I need Tacview to work? Beacuse replaying the track doesn't work and takes time... and... DOESN'T WORK... :wallbash: Edited April 9, 2013 by Aries [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] ...the few, the proud, the remaining...
Rhinox Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 ...do you now understand why I need Tacview to work? Beacuse replaying the track doesn't work and takes time... But I was not arguing about quality of acmi generated from track. Just about your remark "...I can't spend double the time to generate Tacview records...". Time is not a problem (because you can speed it up), quality is. And fidelity of track-generated acmi-files does not depend on the speed you are replaying track-file (apart from cases when your drive is not fast enough and you get some extra stuttering).
JG14_Smil Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 Man, I miss viewing tracks. I use too much lua programming for my switches to stay in sync and lua functions don't get recorded. My chopper just sits there for the whole track (I don't fly without a manual startup). I know how to use tracks. I guess it is another thing I wish they would change about DCS.
