Auto updater question

I cancelled the auto updater, and now when I start the sim it dose not continue downloading the patch and just starts 1.2.2

 

Anyone know how can force it to continue or restart the update ?

Run the auto-updater from the Windows Start menu.

Use Windows menu: START ->Eagle Dynamics->DCS World->Update DCS World

 

(Updater checks updates one time per day).

Oh my, this is what over thinking dose to you. I went inot the DCS install directory and looked for executables, I found that file a run it, but ofc nothing happened.

 

The short cut the the start menu have command line parameter in there :DD

Ok, so what do I do when the whole Eagle Dynamics->DCS World->Update DCS World is not listed in my Windows Start menu and I need to run the update after killing it so as to remove my mods first. :( Any way to run in from a command prompt with the required switches? I rather not wait till tomorrow to do the update.

Create a shortcut on your desktop, pointing to the updater.exe in the /bin folder of your DCS install directory.

 

Properties (rightclick):

Target: "x:\your_path\bin\DCS_updater.exe" update

Execute in: "x:\your_path\"

How did you manage to lose your Start menu folder? Did you place them somewhere else during install? On my machine they are in Start > All Programs > Games > DCS World

 

anyway:

Command prompt, navigate to ..\DCS World\bin\

 

then do

DCS_updater.exe update
