Helloooo!!

I've started this thread to see where to go and what we can do and see what people want in the way of custom flight controls for fixed wing aircraft.

We can pretty much design anything, as long as we have pictures, drawings and dimensions etc..

The main options we have are;-

1) Make exterior shells that can be used on the Warthog using the Warthogs electronics.

The issue with this method is that you won't be able to quickly switch grips if you switch aircraft.

2) Make our own base unit and then a range in interchangeable grips that can be quickly switched when you change aircraft.

We are open to other ideas to get the best solution. So feel free to ask any questions and we'll see what we can come up with.

Cheers

Rich

I think 1) is preferable because it's not like most of us can afford multiple grips. Whatever one is designed you would swap in the control board from the Warthog. TARGET compatibility is almost a must.

The only thing I'm worried about is if the board doesn't have connectors and requires soldering to swap back and forth? Most people would probably like to reverse the mod as needed.

Fully exchangeable grips for existing WH would be optimal. HAving a realistic stick is awesome, not so much the throttles. Obviously there are lots of WH units in the wild, a market. The shells would be a hassle and after doing it a few times it would go in the draw forever! Plus the risk of breaking something.

As mentioned, realistically target support is important so copying the electronics is a required, if possible :)

cheers, I hope this gets off the ground!

C. Buy A 2nd warthog grip either through TM< or from a "For parts" sale on ebay, remove the guts of teh stick carefully, and make the new stick, place buttons and switches, and attach to base.

How Swappable, no back and forth moving of guts required.
