Hi

Newbie question please - I have the A10 module and I have just downloaded DCS World. How do you "link" the two together. Am I right in saying that the DCS World patches will give me the up to date patch for A10?

Im starting off in game mode as its all tooooo much to learn at the mo - are there any good key guides for the "game simulation" mode.

Thanks

Yes. All you need to do is install DCS World then install the A-10 module. The DCS auto-updater will do the rest for you.

First DCS World: http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/downloads/world/dcs_world_english/

Then A-10C module: http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/downloads/modules/dcs_a10c_warthog_english/?

NOTE: The old A-10C standalone is NOT a "module". The modules plug into DCS World and cannot be installed without already having DCS World. Licenses for the old standalones are valid for the modules, and DCS World itself is free.

Haven't seen one myself but there are lot's of good guides for simulation mode.

I would drop game mode and go directly for sim mode and instead of learning everything, go step by step.

Start with the start-up procedure and once you manage that, go one step further each time, (airplane handling, radio's, weapons (one at a time) etc...). Much more rewarding in the end if you ask me.

Win11 Pro 64-bit, Ryzen 5800X3D, Corsair H115i, Gigabyte X570S UD, EVGA 3080Ti XC3 Ultra 12GB, 64 GB DDR4 G.Skill 3600. Monitors: LG 27GL850-B27 2560x1440 + Samsung SyncMaster 2443 1920x1200, HOTAS: Warthog with Virpil WarBRD base, MFG Crosswind pedals, TrackIR4, Rift-S, Elgato Streamdeck XL.

Personal Wish List: A6 Intruder, Vietnam theater, decent ATC module, better VR performance!

Quite honestly forget about game mode. If that's what you are after games like H.A.W.X. 2 and Combat Ace (now for PC) will give you a much better experience. DCS A-10C was designed as a high fedility simulation game like mechanics were added in my opinion to boost sale. Sure you can shoot some things in that mode but it's all preaty dull. Simuliation is what it was designed for and that's where it shines. Also if you are looking for multiplayer game mode will be a no go.

Start wtih the ingame tutorials they are a good start in my humble opinion.

Here you'll find the module you need:

Since you've allready installed DCS World you just have to download this A-10C module and install it.

You may delete the standalone version - the DCS World A-10C module will benefit from the auto-updater function.

I also suggest to skip the game mode.

Learning the A-10C is a great pleasure.
