Darkwolf Posted April 2, 2013 Posted April 2, 2013 Gentlemans, i need you opinion. As you are DCS players, I have total faith in your taste and knowledge, you wouldn't be playing DCS otherwise I lost my TrackIR clip. :helpsmilie: You know, that little thing you place on your cap, that make your wife laugh and make your life and flights so different. Don't ask me how i lost it. If I knew, it wouldn't be lost. Option A/ I lost it in the street. Option B/ I lost it in my ceiling which is as disorganized as can be a ceiling after a 1000lbs bomb impact. So the question is : Do I purchase a new regular trackIR cap thing ? Or do I purchase the PRO stuff ? They is a shop in Brussels (SimW) that sells both, but i'm wondering if the price difference is really justified. Thank you for you help !!! [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] PC simulator news site. Also....Join the largest DCS community on Facebook :pilotfly:
Pikey Posted April 2, 2013 Posted April 2, 2013 There's nothing wrong with the clip, my trackir works great. The issue i see is more what you have to wear on your head between the two, I do not have headset, I use speakers. The advantages of the clip are in the offset angle and potentially greater tolerance and light conditions. If you have poor environment and light spots behind you the clip is more important. ___________________________________________________________________________ SIMPLE SCENERY SAVING * SIMPLE GROUP SAVING * SIMPLE STATIC SAVING *

dburne Posted April 2, 2013 Posted April 2, 2013 I have both, but I use the track clip for the hat, as I do not wear a headset as I love the sound out of my speakers. I do not have any issues with the track clip really, it does pretty well. Rockeyes Posted April 3, 2013 Posted April 3, 2013 (edited) I've got both and have moved from using the pro to the clip, not only does it appear to be a slightly better response but using it plus a set of wireless headphones gives so much more freedom. i hated getting tangled up in wires which often caught on something. The pro is also fragile. Edited April 3, 2013 by Rockeyes [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] HTC Vive Windows 10 Maximus VIII Hero i7-6700k CPU @ 4.2GHz 16GB Nvida GeForce GTX 1080. Ram Duel SSD's
