mjeh Posted April 23, 2013 Posted April 23, 2013 Cool! Thx! One more: how do i get a coy of armor to go in a formation at f ex wp 4? Set the waypoint type from the waypoint you want to change the formation. (Eg from "off road" to "echelon left" or whichever formation you want to use)
Taproot Posted April 23, 2013 Author Posted April 23, 2013 Thank you again Mjeh. The build went along nicely today thanks to all of you. :) and the q: When I use the "hide on map" option. Is it possible that triggers get corrupted/dont work if I do that? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
mjeh Posted April 23, 2013 Posted April 23, 2013 Triggers will still be able to reference the unit group if you hide them from the map. There was a bug where units that were "hidden on map" didn't show up on the F10-map, even if your mission options dictated that they should. I don't know if this was fixed, IIRC it was slated for a fix in either 1.2.3 or 1.2.4, but don't quote me on that :)
Taproot Posted April 25, 2013 Author Posted April 25, 2013 Final question: What is the recommended picture size for the Briefing screen? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Grimes Posted April 25, 2013 Posted April 25, 2013 512x512 is the official resolution. If you are making it for multiplayer you can use a higher resolution image and it will scale to whatever size the briefing images would be for your monitors resolution. In single player it just displays whatever is withing 512x512 of the center of the image. The right man in the wrong place makes all the difference in the world. Taproot Posted April 25, 2013 Author Posted April 25, 2013 Ty all :) Mission is complete. Time to relax.. I seriously woke up yesterday and my first thought was: TRIGGERS! [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
HiJack Posted April 25, 2013 Posted April 25, 2013 Please keep in mind that a lot of big pictures will slow down mission load a lot for players on low speed lines. Make the images as small in bits as possible and that really serves the load times well.
Taproot Posted April 25, 2013 Author Posted April 25, 2013 Ok. Had the first go on the mission today. It was very hard. The q: Is it possible to limit the ammo on f ex.. A big ship? :p [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Grimes Posted April 25, 2013 Posted April 25, 2013 No, you can only modify ammo on aircraft and helicopters via the payload screen. At some point in time I would think individual ground units will have their own storage system, but for now they start with 100% ammo and re-arm based on whatever their re-arm logic is.
