Apart of my another FPS drop problem with my Sidewinder FF2, I noticed as well a framerate drop after the new version (fresh installation). Before 1.2.4 60-50, now 45-35. I had to lock my FPS to 30 to have a reasonable gameplay.

Thanks for the info! I was just about to do the whole reinstall thinking it's something on my end.

Same here. Known issue with Su-27. Glad to hear its not on my end either.

I did a complete reinstall of DCSW and all modules with v1.2.4.

So far I have only tried the UH-1H and P-51D, but with both I get slideshow framerates. I can't say exactly how low the frames are - I was just looking for a quick test of each - but I used to have completely smooth TrackIR movement with all aircraft (except the Huey, of course) and now it stutters very badly in the VC.

External view seems fine.

My issue was resolved by putting the built in frame limiter option on, I usually have it on but the update removed it. Back on a more constant 30 frames but smooth!

The way I got rid of most stutters and freezes is discussed in the following thread - go take a look especially if you are an NVidia user:

And the following thread contains the tweaks I've applied in order to make the sim run as smoothly as I could:

HTH, although it pays to remember that those tweaks and settings may not work for everyone. 30FPS is way too low for some folks, and they all sacrifice some image quality which is a bit of a no-no if you're an eyecandy person ;) But do take a look still...

I don't know why - I have upped the cockpit res from 256 (mystified why it was set at that) to 512 and now the UH-1 cockpit panning is smooth.

I'll try the P-51 again and if it's still stuttering I'll report back.

I've never had framerate issues in previous versions.

Im pretty sure that setting just affects the resolution of cockpit displays, like the KA50 Abris or the A10c's Multi Function Displays. I wouldn't of thought that it would have any effect on the Uh1 or P51.

Specs: GA-Z87X-UD3H, i7-4770k, 16GB, RTX2060, SB AE-5, 750watt Corsair PSU, X52, Track IR4, Win10x64.

Whatever, the view movement via TrackIR is fine now, and that setting is the only thing I changed.

I'll be checking again later (and I'll try as many aircraft as I have time for) and see if the new update has made anything change - no idea what was in it, though.

I see it does say "cockpit display".

Okay, flown UH-1H, A-10C, Ka50 (textures are messed up again on default missions such as free flight Sukhumi), P-51D and all just fine.

However, I also tried the A-10A, Su-25 and Su-27 in FC3 and all were stuttering badly in the VC (but not when in external view). Coincidentally, that's all 3 new cockpits.

Never had any stuttering before v1.2.4 in any module, and always had high settings.
