BaD CrC Posted May 21, 2013 Posted May 21, 2013 Hi guys, I am running a dedicated server at home for DCS world. I authorized it in the Windows firewall (all ports opened for DCS.exe), and did a port forwarding on UDP and TCP for 10308 to the correct IP address. This server is invisible once launched to the master server and even with IP address, no one can log in. I can log in this server from another PC only in LAN mode. Is it a problem to have 2 PCs running under the same account? Thanks https://www.blacksharkden.com http://discord.gg/blacksharkden

ENO Posted February 18, 2014 Posted February 18, 2014 Have you dumped your network.cfg and network.vault file in user / saved games / dcs / config and let the game rebuild it? "ENO" Type in anger and you will make the greatest post you will ever regret. "Sweetest's" Military Aviation Art
Rhinox Posted February 18, 2014 Posted February 18, 2014 ...I am running a dedicated server... No, you are not.
ENO Posted February 18, 2014 Posted February 18, 2014 That comment was almost a year old. Find somewhere else to troll. "ENO" Type in anger and you will make the greatest post you will ever regret. "Sweetest's" Military Aviation Art
Rongor Posted February 18, 2014 Posted February 18, 2014 Have you dumped your network.cfg and network.vault file in user / saved games / dcs / config and let the game rebuild it? didnt help..:noexpression:
Rongor Posted February 18, 2014 Posted February 18, 2014 Just tried some other game, port forwarding is working. The router isnt the problem. my network.cfg shows: connection = { "ADSL 1024", 131072, 65536, } player_name = "RDG" server = { disable_events = false, public = true, client_params = "motd=\"Welcome to A-10C server!\";", pause_on_load = true, upnp_control_url = "http://192.168.0.10:49152/upnpdev.cgi?service=WANIPConn1", upnp_service_type = "urn:schemas-upnp-org:service:WANIPConnection:1", mission_dir = "I:\\Users\\RDG\\Saved Games\\DCS\\Missions\\", password = ".", max_players = 5, name = "YOT Server", client_outbound_limit = 0, port = 10308, client_inbound_limit = 0, allow_object_export = false, integrity_check = { "Config/Weapons", "Scripts/compile.lua", }, } client = { history_size = 16, history = { }, } chat = { view_rows = 3, offset = 0, }
ENO Posted February 18, 2014 Posted February 18, 2014 (edited) It won't matter for this purpose I don't think but if you're hosting a game your speed can still be LAN or the highest ADSL setting (I still use LAN as a server). What IP comes up in the MP window when you open that? Is it yours or some random one? And assuming your Antivirus is set up to play nice? Rongor Posted February 18, 2014 Posted February 18, 2014 (edited) already experimented with those speed settings. nojoy. IP shown is identical to my verfied WAN IP. No Antivirus present. Edited February 18, 2014 by Rongor
ENO Posted February 18, 2014 Posted February 18, 2014 Is it up now? I'd like to verify from here. Maybe your server isn't the issue. "ENO" Type in anger and you will make the greatest post you will ever regret. "Sweetest's" Military Aviation Art
Rongor Posted February 18, 2014 Posted February 18, 2014 I have a buddy online in TS whom I abuse for constantly checking server visbility after each tweaking.:P But yes, it is "online", feel free to join "YOT Server":thumbup:
ENO Posted February 18, 2014 Posted February 18, 2014 What did you change when the server was suddenly to visible? "ENO" Type in anger and you will make the greatest post you will ever regret. "Sweetest's" Military Aviation Art
Rongor Posted February 18, 2014 Posted February 18, 2014 It wasnt visible this year yet. Frankly I use a new computer this year. Router settings didnt change and they worked with the old host and are still working with other games on the new machine. So I highly suspect the fresh new DCS installation I had to do in January but so far it works fine. I also can join other servers without a problem. Only hosting doesnt work visibly. This issue does of course have some history for many people around here with ED and DCS...:mad:
ENO Posted February 18, 2014 Posted February 18, 2014 Usually ends up being some stupid problem though - something easily fixed. Just got to find it. Have you done a repair? You're on the latest version of 127? How did you upgrade to 127? "ENO" Type in anger and you will make the greatest post you will ever regret. "Sweetest's" Military Aviation Art

Rongor Posted February 18, 2014 Posted February 18, 2014 Usually ends up being some stupid problem though - something easily fixed. Just got to find it. Have you done a repair? You're on the latest version of 127? How did you upgrade to 127? no repair done since everything else works fine. I update by getting updated after launching the DCS World application link. And I can also see and join those other servers... ver 1.2.7.23803
ENO Posted February 18, 2014 Posted February 18, 2014 Aw crap. Smack him for us (me). There is an interface fix that has helped in the past but I don't think that's it. You said it was your wan ip that was coming up- like 192.168.0.x? "ENO" Type in anger and you will make the greatest post you will ever regret. "Sweetest's" Military Aviation Art
ENO Posted February 18, 2014 Posted February 18, 2014 Okay well a few folks have had a variety of issues from the upgrade to 127 instead of an all out fresh install. Also a repair is a Simple maneuver and a crucial one. I recommend doing it. Also that interface fix may work after all if your ip is the one issued by your router.
