Position of the cockpit is controlled by settings from server.lua from config/view folder. Are you sure you placed the lines from the file: add to server.lua in your file at the end?

The avionics of the plane is controlled by "customhuman.lua" file... did you placed the file provided inside your scripts... etc folder as instructed?

P.S. I didn't checked if the mod is still compatible with 1.25 version. Maybe today I'll have time for it.

edit

The settings for viewing from Server.lua have been modified some new options added. allow 360 rotation of head and a shoulder dimension so when you pass 90 degrees left right the view will move lateraly 15-20cm like in "Warthunder".

I'll try to see how much these affect this mod.

Sadly... Huey does not have settings now in server.lua and defaultsnapview.lua... must be a bug/mishap from ED.

Edit 2

please put the folder view from the attached archive in to your

C:\Users\<YOUR PROFILE>\Saved Games\DCS\Config\

If already have one with modified files there make backup or compare the changes

This will make the cockpits and the views look OK.

For avionics I need to make other changes... for now all moded planes are defaulted to Su27 avionics.

note that in server.lua from archive the max zoom out is limited to 90-105 degrees... if necessary edit server.lua (from the above address not from the game folder) to these values:

CameraViewAngleLimits = {20.000000,140.000000},

140 means 140 degrees... default.... but the view looks odd by default... imho.

And another thing... the new setting for shoulder looks cool but it makes the view snap a bit when passing that 90 degrees lateral limit... maybe further tweaking is necessary. Like smaller value than default 0.2 for most planes and 0.15 for P-51.

Nope, it's the new way for defining views for third party modules. A Views.lua in the module's folder.

Ahaa... good to know. It's still works if the lines are added to server.lua from user files.

Blaze do you know and could you share any info about how customhuman.lua was replaced? Settings from there that controlled the avionics are not working anymore.

pretty sure most of those things were moved from a main LUA to allow individual Modules to use them without having to mod Protected MP Files

Yep, much less destructive editing.

Zaelu, as far as CustomHuman, I can't get it to work on my end either. I was able to get my custom pit into the F-16 using the Cockpit_ method, but I had no control over avionics and wasn't able to give it the F-15 cockpit either. Spent the last few hours trying different things with no success.

I checked in my mod if the cockpits are OK and they are... just the avionics don't work no more.

F15E, F16A, F18C, L39Z, Mig31 all of them have the cockpits I assigned.

Interesting, so CustomHuman still works for you?

No, it doesn't... just the cockpit works but not the avionics and HUD. And is even worse... the planes get some catastrophic failures when used... some on the ground... some on the air.

Hi zaelu,

Question, does the HUD still work on the F-18 using the F-15's pit for you?

Posted

works but it's one from Su33.

OK thanks for the reply. I'm still using the F-15's pit for it and HUD works fine but the radar doesn't, not that I would know how to use it, maybe I just need to turn it on. :joystick:

I haven't noticed any other problems with the AI flyable planes but I mainly fly the egg beaters or use the external model as a the pit like with the C-130.

thanks again

You see the F15 HUD? If so... can you tell me what settings you use in customhuman.lua?

Official way how to make aircraft flyable

CustomHuman will not work anymore , it is replaced by make_flyable call

see any entry.lua inside mods/aircrafts

local FM = {self_ID, 'OPTIONAL_FM_DLL', old = 6 --[[ F_15 as CWS source --]] }

make_flyable('AIRCRAFT-ID',nil --[[ ommited cockpit script path --]] ,FM,current_mod_path..'/comm.lua') comm.lua is radio menu declaration (optional )

where "old" is mark for use old FC style cockpit

where value of old represent FC aircraft which will be donor of cockpit systems

6 - F-15

see Scripts\Database\wsTypes.lua for more values .

off course to have all cockpits except Su-25T you will need to have FC3 installed , or A-10A or Su-25A modules for respective donors
