Hi all,

after having computer problems i recently reformatted and installed a clean copy of windows.

I installed DCS A10 from the disk and i activated it, then I installed DCS World. I flew around in the Su25 while i waited for the A10 plugin/module to download but when it downloaded it wouldn't install because it says the A10 installer is too old. i have just downloaded it from the DCS website and when looking on the download page the version matches up with the one in the error. So i HAVE the latest version but the latest version of DCS World is later and i cant install the A10 for online play.

Any help?

Had the same problem with FC3, but an easy solution!

Look at Module Manager, install from there, my new FC3 download was recognised and worked straight away.

Get DCS World from the website (the posted version is the previous one but that doesn't matter). Download and install but do not run.

Download the modules you bought, they have the same version number as DCS World.

Install them into DCS World.

Then run DCS World for the first time and let it update to the latest version (1.2.4.12547). On the fly, it will also update the installed modules to the same latest version.

Win11 Pro 64-bit, Ryzen 5800X3D, Corsair H115i, Gigabyte X570S UD, EVGA 3080Ti XC3 Ultra 12GB, 64 GB DDR4 G.Skill 3600. Monitors: LG 27GL850-B27 2560x1440 + Samsung SyncMaster 2443 1920x1200, HOTAS: Warthog with Virpil WarBRD base, MFG Crosswind pedals, TrackIR4, Rift-S, Elgato Streamdeck XL.

Personal Wish List: A6 Intruder, Vietnam theater, decent ATC module, better VR performance!

NO you don't need to do that, just do use the Module Manager, I didn't have to start again with a clean install, just used the module manager and it installed the new version.

After a major change on my hardware (CPU, and MB) I had the same problem, and got this message after installing the module from module manager:

"The Activation Key is not valid any more due to significant changes of the computer hardware configuration. Press "Retry" to reactivate the application. If the error recurs, press "Error report" and send the report to product technical support."

Of course when I pressed Error report, it generated a 19,5MB file that I couldn´t send to the technical report. What the hell is happening to DCS? I bought 4 modules (A-10, Ca, Uh-1 and P-51) and can´t install any of them. Should I format my HD? That would be very frustrating!

I installed and reinstalled this software a thousand times, with the same results! Updated DCS WORLD to the latest version, installed the a-10C module from the module manager, and still have the same message. What am I doing wrong?

Direwolf:

Try using the offline activation method. In the activation window should be a link for that.

A wingmate had the same problem, but the offline activation method worked

I can´t access the offline method during the installation. It keeps me showing the same message after I press the "offline" link in the activation window.
